I forgot you haven't dealt with FJ before. He is entirely serious. His top two expansion targets for years have always been Kennesaw State and West Florida.

I heard Colquitt High School is looking to expand their stadium and make the jump to the Sun Belt. After all, they were the best HS team in the nation last year.

He may not be too far off, though his timing certainty is, as transitioning from D-II to D-I is a longer process than four years. I'm sure if message boards existed in the 1970s, people would've said similar things about USF and UCF. If UWF is serious enough, they'll show it.

Heck, I laughed at the possibility of Coastal being invited to the SoCon when they started football in 2003, but over time, I became very much in favor of the idea. The SoCon didn't see it that way, as those privates who wanted to create the Kudzu League won out. We left, and Coastal then leap-frogged the FCS ladder straight to the Belt. Who's laughing now?

Perhaps. UWF will one day join the ranks of FBS. But it ain't happening in the next four years.

pretty solid actually. A guy I met at the gas station has a cousin who used to date the sister of the mother of that athletic director's brother at Colquitt. Said it was definitely happening.

I am curious, How does such crap as this thread get so much airtime on this board???
