Are you joking when you keep calling TCU a Big 12 power?

Bobcats down the eagles of North Texas 3-1. . . . (Should I call them a CUSA power?)

TX ST / Nevada should be starting about now . . .

The Jags start the year with a pair of wins over Indiana State and Nicholls. The game tonight didn't go as well. Samford wins 3-0.

Doesn't get much closer than that. It will still be a great year for the ladies.

RE: 2016 volleyball season
Coastal Carolina is going to be the team to beat in the Sun Belt.

After this year, it will be amazing if a P5 program (yes, I know those terms do not necessarily exist for a sport like volleyball) does not try to get Jozsef Forman as their head volleyball coach. He would've built a top 40, 50 power in New Orleans if not for the knucklehead decision to go Div III when he was head coach.

Auburn was foolish not to hire him as their head coach when he was the top assistant there. He's certainly become a top 40 program at Coastal and perhaps will be top 25 by the end of the year.

It'll be fun to watch Coastal this year. This weekend's tournament will be a doozy, pulling for the Beach Chickens!

Freshman Emma Longley for App named Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week and Freshman of the week.

A State's Mallory Warrington won Setter of the Week, while teammate Markie Schaedig won Defensive Player of the Week.

AState is probably the early favorite simply because of the returning players.

I tend to think there is more parity in the women's sports in the SBC (except softball) than the men's. Anyone else have an opinion on that? The addition of CCU intrigues me and I can't wait to see how this plays out.
