Georgia State... Georgia Tech...
Get a load of this...

http://www.wsbtv.com/news/local/atlanta/.../425108491

This is like going from zero to breaking the sound barrier. Is any of this justified for Georgia State?

WOW! That school is super aggressive and really seem to be positioning themselves for the next round of realignment. Again, WOW!

Reminds me of Louisville in the early 1970s. It is great to have a vision and go after it at full speed! 04-cheers

Now if we could just get GA Tech and GA State to merge...

This is 70 acres in downtown Atlanta for what amounts to a D2 school. They're a founding member of the Sun Belt. It's nothing like Louisville in the early 70s, we had won the NIT and played in the Final Four winning national tournaments as far back as the late 40s and played in the 1958 Sun Bowl.

This is their basketball arena;

This is their football attendance;

[Image: b3owhoqiyaeqnsx-large.jpg?w=640]

And a story about their football program ranking in the bottom three in attendance in the Sun Belt. It's getting dangerously close to the NCAA minimum attendance threshold for D1:

Seeing all of the politicians and bureaucrats in that video made me queasy considering the realities of Georgia State. Something doesn't add up.

Let's just replace Tech for GSU. Jackets fans are too annoying anyway.

Doesn't matter. What division of your 30 member SEC will you be placing Georgia State in? The Northwest?

MERGE, not replace. The Yellow Jacket football players need easier majors.

Know it all? I was just pointing out that Louisville was well established athletically prior to 1970. Sorry if that detracts from your bizzare comparisons.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have to ask this question at least once a year.

WHY DO YOU CARE????

I will take our upside against just about anybody. You have a great program. Worry about YOUR program.
