I was surprised at Charlotte having multiple players on the list.

No TJ McCollum for WKU at linebacker? But Santos who has yet to play a down at La Tech is on there. He may be good, but Santos has 109 career tackles. McCollum had 106 in 2015 alone. Doesn't make much sense.

I saw him in the four UT games I've attended over the past two years.. I think he'll be alright at LA Tech, but certainly not an all-conference player.

Maybe he can prove me wrong.

Watching highlights of him at Texas and he doesn't seem overly impressive. But, he's getting a lot of preseason love. Athlon Sports rated him #55 in their list of top 100 transfers in 2016 and also had him tabbed as an All-Conference selection. Phil Steele included Santos on his All-Conference team as well. Neither had him on their First Teams, however.

We are pretty solid at D now that we have a good D coordinator. It's just our terrible no huddle offense and poor punting that puts a pretty good D in bad spots all the time.

Can't say enough good things about Ogunjobi. That kid has been our D bright spot since day one. Having him at Nose makes it feel like we're playing a 4-3 instead of a 3-4. He's just as outstanding off the field as on. He's on the Bednarik and Outland awards watch lists.

Terrance is perhaps one of the most underrated players on his own team, much less in the conference. If he had better running mates in the backfield we'd completely shut down passes over 10 yards. He's not better known because there's much better places on our D to throw a ball than near him.

Thoughts?

I'm thinking FlyHawk must have written this if it includes a guy that's never played a down of college ball at LB over a 5th year senior who was the leagues leading tackler last year.

Nah, he didn't write it. He would have never included Charlotte players in his work.

To me in college football your weakest link is way more important than your strongest. You can have 5 all conference players and if 6-11 are jello...

a good offense will still beat you

Haha I'm right there with ya.

Not surprised to see that Charlotte nose tackle on there. Have only seen and heard good things.

Yes, I'm biased, but T. J. Ricks really should be on that list.

I would hope not. I got a chuckle over the description of a injury ("sprang ankle") last year to MT player Cutrer.

Shows how much you actually know, the defense ranked 4th in the conference in pass defense and eighth in total defense. If we had any sort of QB play last year the possibility of a 4-5 win season was there.

Agreed. Ricks should be on that list instead of Durant. I don't see how you can pick a person who hasn't played over folks who have.
