They already have a board, it's just waiting to be resurrected.

do you know that our "one great season" would be the greatest Cincy season ever..and would be the highest coaches poll finish Cincy would have ever gotten?

despite playing since 1885 cincy has only cracked the top25 7 times...not finished, i mean anytime at all in the season..7 seasons total

why does 4 good seasons in a 130 year history give Cincy fans room to trash talk Houston especially on a rhetoric of (1 good season)... you HAD 4 GOOD YEARS TOTAL EVER
that 2011 season you are mocking would be the 3rd best season cincy has ever had

ps i like cincy im only trash talking becuase rosewater started it, rt brought himself into the convo trash talking and you joined trying to troll
Bearcat 2009 crushes your team from last year. Not sure your 2011 beats any of our teams from o6 through 09 all ranked teams btw. You started this garbage with your proclamation that houston is the only team thats loss would result in negative perception. Houston has not even been relevant in this conference until last year. The loss to texas arlington was a real nice touch. So please. Not interested in your 1970s greatness.

first off i never said that we'd be the only loss with a negative perception hit, losing anyone is a perception hit..i just said losing Houston would be the biggest..i never even said it was because of Cincy the program but because college football is a "what have you done for me now" league in perception...and this league is 3 seasons old...and last i checked Houston carried the bowl perception of the league two of those 3 years..something cincy tried to tank in all 3..

and thanks for adding to my point it was utsa not Arlington literally no one cares or remembers that we lost 2 years ago to utsa..not even you..you are doing really really badly at proving your point..and dont seem to understand how perception works

and your 2009 team played 2 top 25 team total, houston played 4 last year...and that 2009 cincy was blownout in your bowl in embarrassing fashion, it was 44-10 at the start of the 4th quarter..a 100% of the sec gave florida a better game (in a down SEC, only 2 top 15 teams)

me and any non cincy fan would easily take 2015 houston over that 2009 cincy. in all honesty houston would probably be a 7-9 point favorite by vegas

and id comfortably without a slight hesitation take our 2011 team over any non 2009 uc team in HISTORY...and honestly would have the 2011 Houston win by 14 easily...

you realize our 2011 team shattered every offense record in the ncaa, won games by an average of 30 points, that team produced over a 1000 more yards than the next team in ncaa history ..and doing this with most starters out the 4th quarter of every game

in the bowl game in 2011 we played #19 PSU who was ranked #4 in the nation in overall defense and in almost every defensive category... now i want you to go look up the record for most offensive yards in one half in a bowl game.ill save you time it was houston versus that psu defense

If you only lose cincy and not houston or usf ucf you do not lose much perception wise. But if you lose houston...... Your quote. You are full of it. We lost our bowl game against a truly great team without our coach and our players closing the bars down. I can accept that but we never lost to a team like uconn. We didnt need an excuse like our qb was injured during the season.

im guessing 2011 didnt exist????
im guessing 13-1 isnt a good year ..

and heres a link to the main sports show on byu tv...they compare every candidate to byu...this is an impartial opinion (not tied to houston or cincy)

they basically say cincy and memphis are a flash in the pan...think uconn is horrible (in football) and that houston is the only candidate that is even debate-able
http://www.byutv.org/watch/event/ba4d7e6...1454a542d2

perception is a funny thing....crazy how byu sports analysts in utah are crazy houston homers

whatever you did in CUSA...nobody gives a crap

least UC's glory (and UCF for that matter) came in a real BCS conference

sorry, but welcome to the truth

bet you $1000 right now more people know who keenum is than who a single player is on any big east cincy team

and id make that bet again with kevin kolb

in the video i linked the byu guy talk about that..that can you name 1 good cincy player (in football).. and "the resounding answer for most is no" according to them

There are a lot more NFL fans than college fans out there, and Im sure a huge chunk of them know who Connor Barwin and Derek Wolfe are. Heck, many of them have probably heard of Nakamura and Travis Kelce. Those are players I know just of the top of my head. Do they associate these guys with Cincy? Probably not. Im sure most don't. But nonetheless, more know their names. Oddly, there's a FSU fan on the UConn board, and he's been posting daily for 3 years, and it just dawned on him that Kemba Walker--a player he really really likes--went to UConn.

I think fans of pro sports are sometimes like this if they don't follow college.

exactly what i said, if you lose only cincy while they are down you dont lose much "perception wise" its still a hit but you still have the current elite team along with teams with potential like ucf/usf..your league perception wont take much of a hit

ie. Tennessee is a historical elite program (or Georgia if you prefer) those are top tier teams in the SEC, if you lost one tomorrow with bama still dominating and Tennessee being down, the perception of the sec doesn't take much of a hit

you just seem oversensitive to facts..and want to feel if cincy is lost the perception of the league is destroyed because cincy is that special....we get it you love cincy no need to be oversensitive

and so we are clear the second best UC team in school history lost to uconn is blowout fashion (2008)
and the 3rd best uc team in school history lost to a 5-7 pitt

the same way you are willing to live with getting destroyed in your bowl game im fine with losing a game on a top 10 season with our #1 qb injured.. our original back up transferred to Michigan (projected to start for them this season) the new#2 qb lost for the year (3 games earlier).and our 3rd string losing in his first ever college start

when its all said and done that loss might be a blessing (winning likely means finishing #6 instead of #8 not a big deal), but it showed the value of ward (everyone credited herman before that, especially after using 3 qbs at OSU), losing without him to uconn and dominating an elite navy on his return showed his value and poll-volted him to legitimate Heisman conversations..depending on next year and how it plays out that loss might be a blessing

Yet 2015 Houston only beat mediocre 2015 Cincy by 3 at home.

Fwiw I'd love to see Tulane added. They would be the Duke/NW/Vandy/Stanford of the conference.

Stats can be viewed from different vantage points to make an argument. If you compare the Cats and Coogs over the past 20 seasons taking into account "what have you done for me lately" to establish a trend vs. since 1885/1946:

Cincinnati
CUSA: 52-55 (.486)
BEAST: 69-33 (.676)
AAC: 25-14 (.641)
Total: 146-102 (.589)
Conference Championships (Includes Co-Champions): 6
Bowls: 6-8

Houston
CUSA:103-104 (.498)
AAC: 29-11 (.725)
Total: 132-115 (.534)
Conference Championships (Includes Co-Champions): 3
Bowls: 4-7

It is also telling for the success of both programs when considering most wins over the past 10 seasons:

1 Boise State 113-19
2 Ohio State 112-20
3 Alabama 111-25
4 Oregon 105-28
5 Oklahoma 104-30
6 LSU 101-30
7 TCU 100-29
т-8 Wisconsin 98-35
т-8 Florida State 98-36
10 Clemson 96-38
т-11 USC 95-36
т-11 Florida 95-37
13 Georgia 94-38
14 BYU 93-37
15 Virginia Tech 92-42
16 Michigan State 91-41
т-17 Oklahoma State 90-40
т-17 Cincinnati 90-40
19 Missouri 89-43
20 Houston 88-44
т-21 Utah 87-41
т-21 Northern Illinois 87-48
т-23 Texas 86-43
т-23 Nebraska 86-47
т-25 Penn State 85-43
т-25 West Virginia 85-44
т-25 Navy 85-45
т-25 Auburn 85-45

The bottom line is both programs are close enough in wins and each worthy of an invite to a P5 based on the football numbers that really matter.

I know. They were an 18 point dog in their bowl game but would be favored against the 2009 team. I think the line against our putrid 2015 team at their place was only seven. I cannot wait to see how this season goes with houston in the crosshairs instead of uc.

I'm not sure you understand the perception of cincy has gone dramatically down since pregame of when we played last year and Houston has gone way up..I was going to write you this long response about how your response is completely illogical but you've thrown out so many illogical points, revionist history and just flat out wrong responses in your last 5 posts, some of which have been the most homeristic manipulation I have ever seen, while in those same responses tried to call me a revionist homer is all that needs to be said.
You clearly don't need to understand how point spreads work but you don't need to you'll make it up as you go to fit whatever narrative you need to

Houston who got no preseason first place votes 2 years ago, who lost to Arlington, and only had 1 good season in recent years, will go rest on those facts
