Yeti is overpriced. Love my Rtic. Works just as good as the Yetis the guys I hunt with bought for double the price.

I lived in the city until my kid was 3 and we moved to JAX. Do the suburb thing for the schools and to be around other people who give a damn about their families. When they get out of here, we'll either go to the beach or go back into town.

Sold. I also couldn't believe the price of a Yeti.

I guess "city" is in the eye of the beholder. I consider the suburbs the city as well. I guess Metro area is a more appropriate term. Small towns (5k or less) are what I prefer.

I like those Styrofoam coolers I get at Dollar General for $3.

I love my Yeti.
There are a few coolers out there that can keep up.
The only problem I have with my Yeti is the weight once loaded up.

I've compared my Rtic 45 against the Yeti 45 side by side at the hunt club and not only does the Rtic keep up it's got more capacity. Oh and it's half the price which means the money I could have spent on the name of the cooler I can now spend on something else.
Not that the Yeti is a bad cooler. The only cooler of that type I would say is bad is the Grizzly models. One of my friends who is a fishing guide at Santee-Cooper bought a Grizzly to replace the Yeti that got stolen out of his boat and he said it was absolute junk. Ice didn't last and when a hinge broke they wouldn't stand by their warranty. He ended up making it a bait tank and bought another Yeti.

I've never cross shopped coolers to be honest.
I'm probably the target market for Yeti. I was at a Gander Mountain on a trip and wanted a cooler.

Life is what you make it. I could be happy anywhere.
The problem is that back around World War II, people got this idea that it was smart or more luxurious to live a 30 minutes drive from the city core in a house on a big lot. We've been paying the price ever since. There is nothing wrong with living in walking distance from the core and as long as it's safe and realistic, it's a great idea. I'd actually prefer it to suburban living in a soulless suburb like I grew with (though I enjoyed it at the time).

Living in the city was fun. But it was time to move on.....
To cut down the commute?

It's beautiful there and Silver City N.M. is close by (a very small town). But. It would get boring after awhile. We're city folks for the most part and I could not leave UTEP sports for the luxury of living in wide open spaces. In the meantime I'll put up with city traffic which is terrible in El Paso.
If you live in El Paso, it shouldn't be hard to live out in the middle of nowhere yet be close enough to come back there to do stuff, such as support UTEP.

C2, yeah I guess I could live out in the desert somewhere but if I leave my present home I'd at least want to move someplace where its pretty. I like the desert but not to live all by my lonesome. I'd rather be close to a national forest which Mimbres is close to. It's just dreams though, I don't think I would "really" want to move. I have everything I need here and "damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead" I'll put up with the horrible traffic. I'm 20 minutes or so from the UTEP campus by freeway and that's as far out as I want to be.

The liberals live in the cities, the conservatives and libertarians live in the burbs and rural areas.

The moderates live in mobile homes because they can't make up their minds on where to live.

Appreciate the Farragut reference. And I also love the NM Forests. El Paso traffic is similar to a stoplight from what I've experienced. I lived in DC for about 7 years and now live in Austin, both were equally aesthetically pleasing and the traffic equally horrendous. Traffic is a whole 'nother organism 'round these parts. But I work from home so I really don't give two *****. As much as I love UTEP, I hate El Paso. I will never move back. The wife and I are actually talking about moving back to DC.
Yes...as much as I loathe liberals, I enjoy living in the two most liberal towns outside of California I can think of. Irony, I know.
