2 Million Pregnant Women Potentially at Risk for Zika
On May 20, 2016, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or CDC, reported that 157 pregnant women in U.S. states and 122 pregnant women in U.S. territories had laboratory evidence of possible Zika virus infection. In this issue brief, the Center for American Progress estimates the state-by-state populations of pregnant women who will be at potential risk of Zika virus infection this summer and fall. Nationally, we estimate that more than 2 million pregnant women will be potentially at risk.

I read up on the species of mosquito that carries the zika virus and others. Only female mosquitoes bite since they lay eggs. Male mosquitoes don't bite. Just thought it was interesting.

All male mosquitoes do is cling to the outside of your screen door and try to look tough.

I would think that more Conservatives would be concerned about this for two reasons.

1. We are talking about unborn babies.

2. Babies born with birth defects will likely qualify for government assistance.

Well, it's obvious Obummer doesn't care. If he did he would have used some of those "Unallocated funds" lying around in Washington to help. Instead he spent it overseas on something else.............that's the response you were looking for - no?

Well, according to the president, if they don't give him a billion dollars to play with, they're all doomed.

What are we supposed to do? Which causes are more equal than others? I mean, kids die every day from starvation in Africa.

As far as govt assistance, why do you say that? The babies that get zika will be random.
