Captain America: Homecoming
I did watch the new Captain America movie and there is a football related spoiler.

Bucky goes bananas at the suggestion of the word "homecoming" Great for alumni motivation.

Also.....

Vision wearing a Northface fleece.

Spiderman kept his smelly spider suit in the attic.

Antman with a B1G surprise.

That movie was great. The kid who played Spiderman was very good. I loved Tobey Maguire as spidey, but that kid was even better. The action, the sarcasm and specialfx was great. I would strongly recommend this movie if you are a science fiction fan or if you loved comic books while growing up.

I hope that over time they expand the whole ant-man, wasp, yellowjacket story... cool characters back in the old comics.

A nice thing with Civil War you don't have to necessarily watch any of the other Marvel movies either because they give some recapping of what happened in Winter Soldier and the Avengers movies.

What I think is cool about Marvel is the SpecialOps element in their movies. Gives it a cybercrime feel instead of pure fantasy. The machine gun scenes are American Sniper level realism.

Ant-man/Wasp movie is in the pipeline.

At some point Bucky I believe is supposed to take over as the new Captain America once Steve Rogers is killed. Steve Rogers I believe only has one more film under contract while Bucky Barnes has like 9 more to go.

Captain America: Homecoming
In the comics Steve Rogers is killed in the Civil War storyline. I wonder if Marvel is going to "kill" him in Avengers Infinity Wars part 1.

Could be there or Avengers III.

Avengers Infinity Wars will be two parts, and the third avengers movie.

RE: Captain America: Homecoming
Saw it last night and loved it. My biggest concern going in was that it might suffer from the same problem as Age of Ultron, too many chess pieces not handled quite as smoothly as it could be. The Russos succeeded there, far more so than Whedon. In some ways the overall story (like its namesake) is a bit weak in the sense that it makes a bit too much happen, but the dialogue, action and performances all outweighed that. Plus Zemo who was the somewhat weak link is probably just getting started in this universe. I definitely need a second watching to see where I'd rank it among the now 13 MCU films. And I loved Black Panther, Boseman was an excellent choice there. And as a diehard Spidey fan growing up, this Tom Holland kid and the way that Marvel is writing him capture the essence of the character perfectly. Paul Rudd finally getting to make Ant Man play with the rest of the big screen heroes is clutch.

I wish they could get the Agents of SHIELD and Netflix crew involved in the films a bit. I think Coulson reuniting the Avengers to fight Thanos would be a nice touch.

Speaking of terrible cartoon movies with B1G ties, the Hulk (the fictional character) went to PSU. Second to Joe, who went to Brown, he's our most famous alumni 03-razz

RE: Captain America: Homecoming
It only picked up for me until the very end. Holland was spot on as Parker/Spidey, the quipping was sensational. But the climax makes the film. Black Panther was also handled well. That dude was more badass than Batfleck. Should make for a good solo film. I don't know how Chadwick Boseman is 39... looks like 28. Something in the water with that Nigerian skin. Oh, and Tony is totally hooking up with Aunt May.

Finally an Aunt May who is the right age to be his aunt rather than great aunt. Agree with Tony "Stank" she's hot!

Also here's a fun fact, Sebastian Stan, who plays Bucky Barnes aka the Winter Soldier, is a Rutgers Class of 2005 graduate. Mike Colter who plays Luke Cage on Marvel's Netflix shows did his MFA at Rutgers as well.

Know anything about the Thunderbolts? Baron Helmut Zemo was their leader. In the MCU plus Agents of Shield. They already have the Absorbing Man, Abomination, and Justin Hammer in custody. All they have to do is fill in a few other additions and General Ross( or whatever they call him ) will have his super group to combat the Avengers.

Finally saw the film and thought it was great. Could someone help explain this observation. It seemed to me that Vision was a little passive in the airport fight seen. Maybe it's just me but I thought he would be more engaged in the fight given he is very powerful.

Vision being a wuss was a surprise.

I think its because he's a robo and he takes a more containment approach to fighting vs. 1 on 1 domination like a human is programmed to do.

RE: Captain America: Homecoming
The key question is how is Vision supposed to score with Scarlet Witch if he keeps passing through her or vice versa?
