RE: Sunday vs. FIU
Today's lineup...

Chandler
Myers
Procter
DiCaprio
Gray
Lewis
Teykl
Warren
Kopycinski

I've said it before and I'll say it again-- I hate this lineup against southpaw pitching. Lewis should be #2 (where we can best utilize our best bunter, by far), and Myers should be in the heart of the order where we can best utilize his pop against left-handed pitching. I also don't understand why DiCaprio can't catch, with Dunlap as DH, against LHP; especially against a team like FIU that doesn't run. It greatly handicaps our already weak offense.

Prove me wrong, guys.

The good news? Ricky Salinas is back on the mound for his customary Sunday start after only one week of rest. Go Ricky!!!

Yeah, does Dicaprio have some sort of injury or something else wrong where he can't catch? Hunter has caught every game going back months. You would think we would trot Dicaprio out there every now and then if he is able, if only to give Hunter a rest and day off. Not even to mention being able to get both Dicaprio and Dunlap in the lineup at the same time.

Salinas back. If he is completely healthy, that is massive. We may not need many runs after all. If he can go even six, Ottoman should be able to finish the game.

Nice start for the Owls. BB (Ryan), BB (Dane), triple (Ford). 2-0 Owls!

Now 3-0 Owls on a single by Dom.

Don't know. The line up is looking pretty good so far. Demchak does not seem to be as advertised.

I think it was Walt's pregame pep talk to the hitters.

Daytime hitting chases the lefty in the first with no outs.

Just goes to show that Coach Graham knew what he was doing with this lineup. It was obvious that the starter wouldn't last long and we'd have to face a right hander most of the game.

Perhaps not to distract from his 300 plus batting avg by adding catching duty??

Ricky dodges a bullet with help from Grayson on a stab of a line drive with 2 on and 2 outs. 5-0 Owls going to T3.

2 out double by Ryan followed by a Dane single makes it 6-0 going to B3.

T4: Tristen Gray leads off with a fly ball "that just carried," according to JP's radio call. The left fielder then collided with the wall, allowing Tristen to ease into a triple with a "pitter-patter with the feet into third."
