Wait a minute I want USA too, well that didn't work.
CUSA basically needs to drop 2 teams. So move 4 to the SBC and pick up the 2 you want.
Which 4 would go to the SBC? and which 2 would go to CUSA?
The great state of Texas to Sun Belt. The great state of Georgia to C-USA. 4-2 swap, easy as pie.

We could do what others do and have them as a yearly OOC game (UF vs FSU; GT vs UGA, etc...) Would add a big rivalry game each year for the fans and make it easier for scheduling.

Going back to the original thought.
A "raid" is the only guaranteed way to realign the two leagues into roughly appropriate geographic leagues without risking auto bids or CFP payout. You can change the league names but you need to be able to claim for CFP and NCAA purposes you are still the old league

RE: My Suggestion for Expansion: Raid CUSA (seriously)
Honestly why does this GSU fan think this is possible?
No one from CUSA is coming back to the SBC
No one from CUSA is jumping ship to the SBC
No one from CUSA is getting "traded"
The SBC is a good conference was a great home to Western but...
Do you really think TV money is the only added value in a conference? There are a few more than that and Right/licensing fees is one of them
Take away the TV money each CUSA will lose and this list still doesn't change...sorted by most from 2015. It also has a column on what each school made in their former conference the last year before switching
I did not chart it but heres a few MAC schools
Northern Illinois $3,965,989
Bowling Green $3,045,882
Toledo $4,340,422
Ohio $3,995,205

I don't know where the heck these numbers come from, but I'm going to call BS on Florida Atlantic and North Texas having more valuable licensing rights than SBC schools with larger fan bases and attendance. Sorry, but something there just doesn't smell right.
And am I supposed to believe that licensing rights for any SBC team will magically go up just by putting a different uniform patch on? Ha.

WKUG thinks that WKU should only play games away from home in scenic locations. Just completely ignore the large numbers of fans who can't afford to travel to FAU or FIU, lets go there because it's pretty.

North Texas gear is pretty popular in 3rd World African countries.

No lets go there because it's 75 to 80 degrees in late Nov and in Jan. (basketball) Lets go there because there's a ocean with a lot of fish...some really large fish that is one hell of a rush fighting for 30+ minutes..
then turn them loose to fight another day
Not to mention freaking relaxing as you can get when you leave the balcony door open all night and hear those waves crashing. Or sitting in the sun with only a pair of shorts on reading while people back home are freezing their ..off. Then on a warn Saturday night watching Western win a football game. Then returning to that cold...7 days later to watch another Western win.
As for the other Western fans not being able to afford to go....
Our Fla games are usually the most well attended Western road games..other than a short 2-4 hour trip. Same holds true for basketball.

As I said, you want WKU to take road trips to places you would enjoy. You're also retired and have the ability to go to all these places. Most of your own fans don't, and would probably appreciate a road game within driving range every now and then.
Given the choice, I'd much rather Arkansas State play UL Monroe yearly than FAU. Not that I don't appreciate FAU or think that Boca has nothing to do or something, it's because about 30 AState fans could travel to FAU, but on the right day we could bring 1,000 to Monroe and actually create an fun atmosphere for our own team, increasing the chances of winning.

If you look at Western's schedule you will see our OOC games are usually drives in the 7 hour or under range. Conference games are just that and as I said...
FIU and FAU are some of Western's most well attended road games. Not unusual to have 500 to 600. I know it's not the mythical 5,000 we all read about that loves to travel...
I personal have yet to see over 10 to 15% of that 5k by a visiting team at Western. Other than Marshall this past season and S.Miss in the championship game. ASU might have had 1,000 at our last football game between our schools. I really don't think ASU has seen those numbers (mythical 5,000) out of a conference game either. BTW I'm just semi-retired I mostly just work between basketball and football seasons. With a few 7-10 fishing/ocean trips mixed in.
But you are correct...I love to travel to places I enjoy. But more importantly ..my wife loves those trips to FIU and FAU and with that it means I never have to ask about going on any road trip to watch Western play. In my book that a win all day long!

In his defense, if I lived in Kentucky, my number one goal would also be to get out of Kentucky.

Difference between CUSA and the SBC. I would prefer conference mates that have a strong program with fan support, they would prefer somewhere nice to go no matter how pathetic the program is and how many students don't even realize they have a program.

In 2015, stAte (1st SBC) is 5th if you compare the conferences. App is 7th and GaSouthern is 9th... Hell, North Texas (last in CUSA) outdrew ULM, Idaho, and GaState (a bowl team for crying out loud)...
I'm just wondering on what information did you base your conclusion?

I was basing my argument over the teams based in south florida, since that is what we were talking about. I would prefer GaSo and App over two teams in south Florida, even the "U" gets no support in south Florida. I would rather play in front of 15k real people, then 15k invisible people.
