I would put Clemson ahead of FSU right now. With FSU ? at QB I would put them between 10-15 for now.

Word is Deondre Francois is the real deal for them at QB...Plus they still have Davin Cook.
For Louisville...I really, really like our team this year...feel this is the best Louisville team since 2013..

The key point about Francois is that the "word is" he's the real deal, he hasn't proven it on the field yet. I'm sure he is the real deal but I want to see it before I put them into the top 5. Watson & Clemson have proven it on the field. Cook has also proven it on the field, he was in the Heisman hunt with an injured leg!
I like Louisville this year to but we will only be as good offensively as our OL lets us be. We also need a RB to step up as a full time starter instead of a RB by committee. If Jackson & a starting RB run for 1000+ yards each then I can see the Cards competing for a CFP spot. I don't have any worries about the defense.

On the OL my only concern is depth...liked the way the starters looked in the very few open practices.

I don't see how you put anyone ahead of Watson. If not for a couple of mental errors in the NCG, Clemson is defending champ.

Best the conference has looked in football in a while. Almost having 5 teams in the 25 even with all the biased opinions working against us means we should be even better than this poll suggests. SEC just reshuffled the coaching deck, so it will be entertaining to watch them come to the realization that being the best isn't a birth right!

I don't know why everyone is so down on Maguire....he took over for Golson and the offense started to gel.

Cuse is rated at #61 and our projected win total is 4...yowza so tough to get over the hump. However, I think we have the right coach to do it. 2017 I expect a mid level bowl game.

If Cuse can get to 6 wins and go to the Detroit Bowl and get a win against, say, Northwestern or Indiana - that would be a great first season for Babers, IMO.

I fully agree that Clemson is the team to beat.

Even with improvement, it's going to be a challenging road for Syracuse to get to 6 wins this year. 10 games vs. teams ahead of us in these rankings:
#2. Florida State
#4. Clemson
#12. Louisville
#14. Notre Dame
#30. Pitt
#40. Virginia Tech
#42. North Carolina State
#44. USF
#51. Boston College
#58. Wake
To get to 6, our best shot would be with wins over Colgate, UConn, Wake, BC, USF and either NC St. or Va. Tech (both of which are at home). Of course, in the middle of the pack, things can shift dramatically. Hopefully, we can at least make a solid run at it to keep it interesting.

Agreed. Of course, I hope your team beats NC State and lose to Va Tech. At the very least, though, I hope Syracuse SPANKS both UConn and USF. We get too many visitors from the AAC trolling this board as it is!

On the bright (orange) side, when we run the tables, we'll have a strong resume to be in the FF!

I'm a Clemson guy but until we start winning in Tally more often I would pick FSU. WE have not won there since 2006 and 2 of our losses in that time frame were just flat cruel...especially the 2014 game.
