If UNC loses all four #1 seeds will have been eliminated in this round.

Lining up perfectly for CHeat to not have to play any top four seeds. Praise Be!

Mark Emmert absolutely orgasmic.

56-43 VA with 8 minutes left .... that is like blowing a 14 point football lead midway through the 4th quarter.

Epic choke.

That will never happen. There has been a clear cut narrative, including Emmerts announcement a few hours ago that the UNC CHeat investigation is nearly over... They were "happy" to give the cheaters as much time as they wanted... Just threw away their own process rules to do so.

I saw UVA up 37-21 early in the 2nd half and figured it was going to be a rout and didn't watch again. It was still 54-39 with 91/2 minutes left.

What happened? They get complacent on offense and defense? Looking at the play by play, Syracuse had a 25-4 run following that 15 point deficit before UVA got some points in the last minute to cut it back to 64-62.

I don't have anybody left to root for. I was going to root for Kansas or UVA. But there's nobody left I want to win. UNC, ND and OU I can't root for. Not going to root for BE basketball. And Syracuse really shouldn't be there. They are far from the best team in the ACC.

Syracuse pressed them and UVA made a ton of mistakes off of it. sped them up.

Barkley is correct- Many college coaches need better in-game adjustments. Virginia should not have lost that game.

So UVA looked like UNI did against A&M?

Cuse has entered that UConn 11 & 14 zone where, like a hardy cockroach, they just cannot be stamped out even by better and more talented teams. No matter how badly beaten, they will prevail. Tournament Twilight Zone.

RE: NCAA Tourney- Elite 8 thread
real interesting tweet from Andy Katz:
Seniors have had a slew of mental lapses in this tournament. Brice Johnson just had his by tossing the ball in the air for a T.

It's amazing to think but for a tourney with so many seniors, it feels like we've seen maybe more mental lapses than normal this season in the tourney...

It shows you the drop in quality of play in college basketball overall. If college basketball wasn't associated directly with the colleges and universities people went to, I guarantee you almost no one would be watching it and indeed many people don't start watching until February.

Epic choke.

Hardly unusual or unheard of. What Texas A&M did was like scoring 2 TD's in final 30 seconds to steal a win.

It's still a choke job. When you're a #1 seed, you aren't supposed to do that. Even if it is against an opponent from your own conference.
