Memphis is gonna be the most dangerous team in the conference tournament. They have nothing to lose and wouldn't mind at least playing spoiler. And even if it's severely underperforming, they arguably have the most talent in the entire conference.

Bearcats, it is a USF logo. It dates from at least the early 1980s when I was an undergrad, and I use it nostalgically because I remember it from that time. The bull is gold because early on (1962 - 1982) our official nickname was the "Golden Brahmans", after which we switched to the Bulls, but the "GB" nickname lingered and was still informally used until the late 1980s.

Since it was in use in the 1980s, it probably dates from even earlier, but i can't vouch for that. Maybe someone like Cuban, who IIRC attended USF in the 1970s can comment on that.

You never know. We have the talent to rise up and beat anybody, of course. We did it once each to UC and Temple.

But we seem pretty well spent now. I think think the players, coaches and fans just want the season to end.

But Senior Night might be the one where we show up, one more time.
