Dukeman which victory have you enjoyed the most this year
The win at Richmond?
Our home win over George Mason?
Our home and away way wins over Marshall who swept your beloved ODU?
Our home and away overtime wins over Hofstra?
Hope to see you in Baltimore.

Dukeman:
You lose all credibility when you criticize a team that is 20-9, with the wins 71 has highlighted for you and plays in the 9th rated conference in the country. JMU has 39 wins and counting over the last two seasons. You seem light a bitter old man. Why?

RE: 2017 Hoops Recruiting
I'm actually with him. I view this season as so-so. We should have been better, and could have been better. I blame this on Brady's inability to adapt in-game, and inconsistency in the "2nd scorer" role that Brady mentioned. I don't see the first problem improving next year, but hope/think we'll see some standouts in Snowden and Kangni.

I take that back; I gave it some serious thought. I've realized I'm not unhappy with the record, or anything like that. It's mostly in-game. Our offense is boring, and it's really stressful to follow a team that is so inconsistent. We launch up 3's like it's nobody's business...and that's 90% of our offense haha i wish it was more exciting and we had playmakers that would penetrate. Hoping to see Shepherd step up and fill that role next year along with Morgan.

this is college basketball in the 21st century. every team is inconsistent.
there are teams with 9 losses ranked in the top 25. That's how many losses we have.
teams ranked very high like Miami have inexplicable losses to teams like Northeastern.
teams like St Bonaventure (who lost to Hofstra, a team we beat twice) are considered on the right side of the bubble to get an at large bid.
it's just the way it is. We cannot compare a 2015 performance by JMU, or any other school, to how it was "back in the day". the landscape is different now with more games, early entries, parity, etc.
i scratch my head sometimes at our play, our results, etc. But I'm pleased with the team overall. We are doing well. Have beaten some pretty good teams. And are going into the tourney with as good a chance as any to win it. That doesn't mean we will. It all depends on who plays the best for 3 days in March. And that is true of UNCW, W&M, Towson, Hofstra, etc. There are some good teams in the CAA this year. Everyone will need to play their best or they'll get bounced.

Watched jason wade's highlight tape - the dude throws an oop to himself off the backboard on a fast break. Aggressive.

A few thoughts/theories I think the uneven play may have something to do with the scheduling (and to a lesser degree the refs). Thursday Saturday in many cases with travel in between. In Baltimore I expect the execution to be better and the officials to let the games flow in a tournament setting.
I watched the Hofstra Northeastern game yesterday- both teams have stretches (Hofstra more than Northeastern) where they look like a very solid college basketball team- ball movement, good shooting from outside, crisp offensive sets, solid defense, etc. But then they have stretches where they look awful. I think you'd find that with most college basketball teams.
JMU is the same- the positives going into the tourney are that the defense has generally been pretty solid, the rebounding is much improved from years past, they have a mostly veteran team with a senior PG who is arguably the best two way player in the league, and the ball movement/balance on offense can be there when they play well. They also have more depth than the other teams. I like the Dukes' chance. They are far from perfect but I think they will perform well this week and in Baltimore.

I see that Bowling Green offered in 2015. Is JMU about to be sued because dumb-ass did not read Rowe's BG contract?
Oh jeeze!!

i dont think jamaris had committed to BG, rather he was being recruited. The problem (from what i understand) with all of Brady's recruits is that one had already signed an LOI (Julius Wells), two were orally committed (Andrey Semenov and Trevon Flores), and the fourth (Devon Moore) had been recruited heavily by Brady and his staff

Seriously guys, just b/c Matt Brady was a dumb*** and did not know his contract restrictions coming from being a head coach at Marist, that does not apply to everyone.

Exactly, it was the signed recruit that was the BIG deal.
