RE: Sunbelt 2016 Football Schedules, and Record Prediction?
Even with the new coaching staff I say we go at least 9-3. We return virtually our entire offense, 6 of our front 7 on D, and add the best recruiting class in the conference. I'm sure the Western Michigan game will be closer this year than it was last year because it's in Kalamazoo. But we've shown he can handle MAC teams. Having SSU first is essentially like having a preseason game, let's us work out some kinks. I feel confident about the GT game, the seniors will want to avenge the '14 heartbreaking loss. Don't feel as confident about Ole Miss due to their explosive offense. I think we split games vs the ASUs. Probably beat App State at home and lose to Arkansas St in Jonesboro. Helps to have ULL and Troy at home.

Considering I have no clue who our QB will be.

Home
Texas State - W
Arkansas State - L
Georgia Southern - No clue
ULM - W
Ball State - W
UT - Martin - W

Away
Idaho - W
Appalachian State - L
Troy - W
South Alabama - L
Air Force - W(I think this will be close)
Wisconsin - L

But the GSU way is to disappoint after a promising season. So we could be 2-10.

An extremely young and untested secondary could lead to problems for us the first half the season. It will be made up of a bunch of highly rated recruits, but they haven't played a single snap together yet. So we'll see.

USA has its own problems, but I'm glad its likely we're playing you guys in week 2. Both USA and Ga Southern have open dates in Week 2. And we're the only two teams that do.

Mobile will probably be your first road game of the year.

RE: Sunbelt 2016 Football Schedules, and Record Prediction?
7-5 or 8-4.

I think we win all 5 home games: Montana St., USA, Troy, NMSU & Ga St.

I think we win @ULM

I think we win 1 or 2 out of @UNLV, @ULL & @Tex.St.

I think we lose @Washington, @Washington St. and @App. St.

So, 7-5 or 8-4.

Gotta love the offseason.

It appears everyone will be bowling next year, that's good to see. We will have a bunch of 9 win teams too. Should be a good year for the SBC.

Especially when ULL, Troy, USA, Idaho and GA St. all go undefeated against each other. That's gonna be historic.

Due to State Budget cuts, the Louisiana Schools will both forfeit their entire season.

But it's not all Doom and Gloom . . . . .

The NCAA, seeing the plight of La La, will drop their case against ULL, subsequently foregoing any and all Sanctions that were hanging over that Program.

Cajuns, never ones to look a gift horse in the mouth, take to the streets and Party for two days . . .

That gives TXST 3 wins. 02-13-banana

Should win:

UCA
@ Texas State
ULM
NMSU

Games we'll be favored to win, but could easily lose if things go wrong

@ULL
@ Georgia State
USA
@ Troy

Pickems, but home games that we need to win for all that's holy and just in the world, and to save us from trolls

Georgia Southern
Toledo

We'll be underdogs, but very winnable.

@ Utah State
@ Auburn

We could go 7-5 or 11-1. I just don't see us winning them all.

I have a feeling he thinks he's being humble.

No ESPN does not want that game. Nor will they want App/Arkon or even Ark St./Toledo.

I doubt ESPN even takes App State/Miami, unless they go ESPNNews or ESPNU. They didn't take our game with Missouri, and that was back when everyone thought Missouri would be the best in the SEC East.

I honestly don't know what to expect next season, I'm feeling pretty positive that we will be better than last season but who knows by how much. I hope that the Louisiana schools get to play I want our first win against ULL to be fair and square.

I got us beaten Washington I'm not betting on it though.

RE: Sunbelt 2016 Football Schedules, and Record Prediction?
Let me see... We have

- A REALLY talented offense that gave up on the coach last year.
- A REALLY undermanned defense that also gave up on the coach last year (though we don't know how bad they would have been if they hadn't given up)
- A new coach who, in interviews and on paper, is REALLY GOOD, but has no history with us or these players.
- A shortened recruiting period for said new coach
- An improved conference group, with... sadly, the removal of the Cajuns from our schedule.

Yeah, not even gonna hazard a guess, other than we win against Incarnate Word.

Appalachian State
(H) Idaho (W)
(H) UL Monroe (W)
(H) Georgia State (W)
(H) Texas State (W)
(A) New Mexico State (W)
(A) Georgia Southern (Coin flip as always)
(A) UL Lafayette (W)
(A) Troy (L)

Non-Conference
(A) Tennessee (L)
(A) Akron (Coin flip)
(H) Miami (Coin flip)
(H) ODU (W)

Realistically we may lose one of the conference games that I said we win. I'll say we should go 7-5 no matter what and we could definitely top that.

I think Withers will get more out of the players than Fran did. I think a win over UL or Troy get the Bobcats to 6 wins.

It's nice to not be favored at the start of the season so teams can overlook us.

We still have the Cajuns . . . .

We drop Southern & USA . . . . Hate that USA rotates out, as our games with then have been really good . . .
