The State Department Inspector General has found that classified emails were received on the personal accounts of former Secretary of State Colin Powell and the senior aides to his successor, Condoleezza Rice, according to an NBC News report.

In a letter obtained by NBC, Inspector General Steve Linick said that a total of 12 classified emails, now classified as "secret" or "confidential," were found to have been sent to the personal email accounts. Ten of them were sent to Rice's aides and two sent to Powell.

Linick added that none of the emails were marked classified at the time, and none were sent from the intelligence community.

I'm fine with throwing those two under the bus with Hillary. That's where they belong if they broke the rules anyways.

The two Powell emails were first circulated by Ambassadors on unclassified State Department systems. Sorry Mach, but I don't see any indication of wrongdoing by Powell here. Conveniently he also added...

The right will continue to look like the partisan hacks they are. I ALWAYS suspected that other people did this in prior administrations too. It will be cleaned up going forward.

"He added that there was a difference between his email situation and that of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who used a personal email server that was found to have received classified information.

"It's a lot different from what the rest of us were doing and what Mrs. Clinton is doing," Powell said.

"Should she have had a private server? ... Did she use it for classified information? I don't know and I don't want to know."

ABSLOLUTELY NOWHERE in that article does it say they used personal private SERVERS.

Trust me. The only people that this will matter to is people who would never have voted for her.

to argue such would mean that any law could only be broken and unpunished once, after which it stopped being illegal. which would be . . . odd.

So, wait until Hillary's political career is over, and then convict her. Since it wasn't a big issue before.

The issue is over. You know it and I know it. Hell the people who were going to vote for her would have done it before this news. Now when someone brings it up we can come back with this. It makes you guys look hyper partisan.

Sorry Mach, If both "communicated" classified information on unsecure networks then all three should be prosecuted, but Clinton's crimes are far worse and you know it.

This issue only mattered to the anti Hillary crowd. Now that the pro Hillary cloud can say Powell and Rice did it too, it will not be an issue. Like I said, it really wasn't an issue out side of the right wing echo chamber before. It's over as an issue.
