RE: New UH Basketball Arena
UH's attendance needs lots of improvement BC1 but it could be worse: we could live in Cincinnati. No matter what you say, I rarely have to deal with any snow or days below freezing. And major hurricanes only come every 25 years, so there goes that card.

you have -3 rep points....work on getting that in the green, then come talk to me little one.

You got me BC1. My goal in life is to become a message board superstar, just like you. All I need to do is move back with my parents and become a giant loser, just like you. Of course your favorite activity is seeking rep points, whatever they are, on internet message boards. I actually feel sorry for you. What a pathetic life.

RE: New UH Basketball Arena
I hope Houston's attendance improves when the renovations are finished and think it will. There always is an attendance increase at least for the short term just from people who want to see what its like.
This league is pretty good already, but we need another good team/program to finish out the league as a replacement for Navy football in the west. I think that can/should be Wichita St who once again appears headed to a good seed in the tournament at #22 and rising. They have a great overall program and fit nicely in the west. It would guarantee another quality program playing in Houston, Dallas, Tulsa, Memphis and NOLA and has great baseball and womens teams as well. But at some point Houston could really ignite if enough people get excited about MBB again and that schedule of conference games with a WSU along with Tulsa, SMU, Memphis etc guaranteed to play there can't hurt.

I think 16B (across from Cougar Baseball Field) will be the only place somewhat close you will be able to pay to park...unless you can get a parking meter on Holman St. The stadium garage is reserved for donor parking.
Depending where you're coming from... You can always take the light rail in and avoid having to park.
I hope you enjoy the game. I will be on the front row of the floor seats...beside the SMU bench. Go Coogs!

Thanks.
I thought so.
You can tell any of the detractors to kiss-off.
You've earned a lot of respect over the years with a blend of knowledge and humor. Some folks just don't "get it".
He fits your agenda of Houston bashing, thats where the "respect" comes from. He is a clown, a self-loathing clown at that.
OldTiger has an agenda of Houston bashing?

Lol, you realize it doesn't snow all that much in Cincy right? It was 65 degrees on Saturday this weekend.
And we have way, way better beer.

Its one thing to say you have better weather. Its OK to discuss why your city is better. It's fine to point out why someone else's school sucks. You can even pull his wife's hair when he isn't looking.
But dang man, you went and picked a fight over beer? Sh!t just got real...

Along the same line of thinking, I'd far rather live in Cincinnati than Memphis. You guys get by having a tourist-friendly Downtown and Graceland but I couldn't see myself living in Memphis.

You have to pick your poison...
In Houston the air is toxic so you breathe at your own risk.
Memphis is a warzone so one is actually safer in Kabul.
So choose...slow death or quick

Then there's Cincinnati and its notorious race wars (or so I've heard). Oh well, at least you have Ken Griffey Jr.
