Came to see how bad the thread got for Tulsa. Everyone got distracted by other stuff so I'll just leave quietly.

Alright you got me on that one, the pic I saw must have been at halftime or something. However I know for a fact there were not 40K at the UConn game, I understand weather was a factor, but it is reported as 40K in attendance, that's not the case.
I still stand by that Houston had more total attendance than UC. Probably ECU and Memphis had more than Houston.
Houston basketball attendance sucks, but go visit the place UH plays basketball. Nothing about it would ever make you want to go to a game, even if the team we have is probably one of the better ones in the conference.
Will you just stop, UCONN was homecoming, it damn well was a sellout. More total attendance? Well yeah, you had 2 more home games than UC. Your arguments are just silly.

We are a total bandwagon town.
If the Rockets are .500 the lower bowl is empty.
The Astros didn't sell out until they made the playoffs after a ten year drought.
The Texans went to the playoffs and tickets were available on resale markets all over the place.
And our last JOKE of a coach (Dickey) ruined whatever momentum Penders gave us by winning the conference tourney.
Even if we win the conference this year we will not sell out games until next year.
We also do not get to play regional teams that have people's interest. No OU. No Dukes, no NC. Our big name or regional teams like BU or UT will not play us.
We have to generate interest with the ECUs, TUs, Temple, Tulane, etc...not easy in a town that offers so much.
Again, why is Stookey the BC fan talking attendance smack? His school has worse attendance than Houston, and this clown isn't getting absolutely pummeled for it?

3 years ago Houston had an opportunity in football to get a share of second in the league. They drew 3000 in a home game against UC. Houston people do not support this university.

They out drew us because they had 2 more home games than we did. Its an idiotic statement.

im going to address a few things before i just inand start heavily trash talking Cincy
we had 11k there not 3k..we'll start there (technically it was soldout, as far as ticket sales, 20k announced)
it was on an offcampus soccer stadium, and the stadium was last miunte as the game was orginially planned for relaint (the texans stadium) but for what ever reason was moved to a new small soccer arena that no one was familiar with a 20k capacity
and a share of "second" in the league?? like ANYONE cares about that..we were already eliminated from the title and were on a multigame losing streak
all things considered it wasnt that bad

RE: teh rivalry..TU vs UH tonight..
now i trash cincy for their annoying fans
dear cincy
what room do you have to talk about attendance???....you who played in a AQ league but RARELY sold out a 30k stadium
uc had lower attended games than Houston while in the big east in 2009, in 2010, in 2011, in 2012...yes that is the last 4 years of houston being in C-USA and the last 4 years of cincy being in a AQ conference on regular top 25 teams
you had NUMEROUS 20-21k games in the big east ..houston didnt do sub 25k from the late briles year till the levine years
let this sink in ON TOP 25 TEAMS IN A AQ CONFERENCE. UC COULDN'T PULL IN 25K+ "ANNOUNCED ATTENDANCE" ON ALOT OF ITS GAMES!!!!!!!
there is ONE team in this league that can pull attendance smack and that is ECU....everyone else needs to shut it..your teams are doing just as bad....UC, you are doing worse all things considered... cheers

Lower attended? Like individual games? Are you serious with this nonsense? Your attendance is embarrassing right now, not years ago, now, today. Get it?

What are you talking about? This was about basketball, not football, try and keep up. Can any of you Coogs read? The conversation was about how embarrassing Houston's basketball attendance is, and all Coog fans want to do is steer the conversation in another direction. Freaking Maddening.

I remember that game. It was 40 degrees and raining. Miserable conditons. Announced attendance was over 20K. Im sure that's tickets sold and Im sure many no-showed due to the conditions. That was also our nomadic year when the new stadium was being built. Cinci had 24,606 vs Houston in 2014 (24,606 was the announced crowd at Paul Brown the next year---and that's VERY charitable if you look at the pictures). That was also an off-campus year for Cinci. It makes a difference.

First...OK, you want to talk smack about UC football attendance? Fine. UC has a historical reputation as a "basketball school." Yup. So, in those years that we struggled to sell out 35k capacity Nippert (including the years we played at 60K Riverfront, off-campus), we were selling out our 12K+ basketball stadiums. Seriously. You couldn't get a seat in those years. So, if you're at least going to compare "apples to apples" we could ask...Why the heck can't UH sell out EITHER football OR basketball games? But back to your point...we had sub-20k average years ONLY through CUSA. Our attendance started to pick up in the Big East years. But one salient point with that... A NUMBER OF BE TEAMS ALSO HAD CHRONIC POOR TRAVELING FAN BASES. So, take Syracuse: in the time we (UC) were in the Big East, Syracuse had poor home FB attendance and a really weak traveling fanbase as well. That hurts your attendance numbers. But if you look at THIS year, you'll find our average attendance at 37k...so... history is history.
Second, we're talking basketball right now. And UC's attendance numbers are fine right now.
But comfort yourself however you want.

That game in 2013 was technically a sell out (20k arena and we sold 20k tickets, the arena change just made it hard for people to attend, it was orginally scheduled for a different arena but changed something like 2 weeks prior
and like attack coog noted the weather wasnt great, it didnt rain during the game but it heavily stormed before it started and the place was muddy
and honestly it doesnt bother me if you think these excuses arent good enough....all in all its stupid to make assumptions about a teams attendance "from that one time they played in a off campus soccer stadium, the first year they had ever played in it"

1) we did sell out our football stadium quite often, that why we increased the capacity... during the keenum years almost every game was packed to the brim...one of my worst football game experiences came when i was stuck in "Standing room only" during one of the games of that era..
we were doing etter attendance than UC those years, despite UC being a more consistent winning team, more top 25s and playing in an AQ league
But comfort yourself however you want.
2) i never said sub 20k..but around 20k-22k (which is horrible for any AQ team especially one winning)
3) and you are clearly missing the point of this...UC fans are the ones going out of their way to attack houston's attendance on an extremely high level....the point of my post is how can cincy throw stones at anyones attendance issues? and i trashed your attendance to show that point....dont twist it like im attacking UC's attendance for no reason .. if you dont want people to trash UC's attendance tell your fellow UC fans to stop throwing attendance stones
football or bball.. if you have attendance issues in any revenue sport, you honestly dont have any room to be talking
4) and ill be impressed with UC's 37k if they can do that on years that arent the reopenings of their stadium..on the average year
