Ticket Sales Birmingham Bowl
I understand that some are buying their bowl tix thru the bowl site, but I'm just curious if the school has sold out its allotment. Hopefully we'll have a large number of Tiger fans in Birmingham for our bowl game.

I'm no Ambassador by any stretch... but I am a 2nd Gen Tiger fan and me and my family have had season FB tix since the mid 50's and had basketball season tickets many times thru the years, don't have them now for obvious reasons.. I had to be one of the earliest to purchase my bowl tickets from UofM and my seats are amongst the worse in our section in corner of endzone. I understand how our system works, but next time I will buy good 50 yardline seats from the Bowl website for the same price. Someone else can do their good deed and buy those endzone seats. Sorry, I know that will disappoint some of you.

Yep! Couldn't agree more. This team sucks! Until they start winning again, I won't ever attend another game.

What's your definition of winning?

if I had to guess...7,000 sold through the school...2,000 purchased from the bowl site...9,000 total Memphis fans, plus the band.

hope we break 10k, though...that would be nice.

What level of winning would it take for you to buy season tickets?

Just a guess but perhaps they gave preference to TSF donors that continued to give and purchase BB tickets this season?

Also, I think people who were trying to buy 6, 8+ seats together probably had a harder time getting good seats than those who purchased 2 or 3.

I'm not even particularly worried about winning. What got me to stop going was not being able to figure out, remotely, WTH offense they were even trying to run, much less not succeeding in running. Also, the gut feeling that I was putting more effort and energy into coming downtown, esp. on a work night, paying to park, walking blocks, and pulling for a team that, half the time, it seemed one or more players were sulking/stalling/fake hurt/acting out. Life is too short. WHY am I talking about BB on a football thread????

Even through the first two years of Fuente football, I could tell, easily, what the man was trying to do, what offense he was running and what defensive scheme he was putting into place, even if it was taking time to work. It was crystal clear he knew what he was doing and where he wanted to go. I had patience and it paid off. I'm happily going bowling next week. Not so with bb. I gave up three years ago.

No Pastner fan, but take this to a BB thread where it belongs. You miserables are like when termites get in your house.

Indifferent, I would think.

I can't blame Tiger1983. And while some dog Mimi for the ranting about those who "bash" TIGER hoops and Pastner, surely most will concur it seems an inordinate number of threads created for non BB discussion do tend to circle back/evolve/regress to the same ranting/condemnation of Pastner.

Regarding the Birmingham Bowl ticket sales , I hope there are 12,000+ MEMPHIS fans there...however they obtain their tickets. Unfortunately, it seems the weather will be wet that day. That will keep some home. The best news is MEMPHIS has the opportunity to up their record against Auburn to 3-0.

My remarks were deleted because - I assume - they were verboten. My bad. Suffice it to state, it will be fun for me reading posts here upon the New Year.

We bought ours through the school, can't complain....although the one year we were in the Big East I had to buy basketball tourney tickets from Central Florida because UofM was only selling to donors.

Sorry to go on a bb rant. I hardly ever think about bb any more. So, I rarely ever comment on bb, but lately many people seem amazed that I no longer go to every bb game. Just a small explanation, not unlike the way so many others feel.

So, on to football! GOTIGERSGO!

We were never in the big east basketball tournament which is held annually in Madison square garden.

And very quietly, but no less obviously, you used a football thread to take yet another shot.

Sneaky though, so...congratulations.
