That was a slaughter.

As a Georgia Tech fan, there have been more than a few games under CPJ that I've prayed for rain. So I get it. The weather definitely worked in y'all's favor, but this was domination.

Southeast athletes>>>>>>>>Midwest athletes

Well done, and way to even up the bowl season.

It takes more than one sport to make a program better. They are great replacements though

I can't speak for App, but Southern fans love the belt. I think this conference can make some noise and get more lucrative bowl game offers in the future. Lots of good programs here and once CCU is added with conference championship game will make it even more appealing!

Competition makes Southern stronger and hungry to succeed. We got our butt kicked by two conference foes. Made Southern hungry

That's the thing though, we didn't replace you with one program with huge all sports success. We grabbed a couple good basketball schools to replace your basketball, and a couple strong football programs to replace those sports.

The smartest move the SBC made in the last round of expansion was not attempting to find the next Western Kentucky, it was using a combination of different programs to replace them.

With FIU, FAU, and UNT struggling so much, we really didn't have to put in the same effort to replace them.

I can't argue with that, things seem to be working out. Now if Troy can get back to being Troy again

I just wanted to say a quick thanks to the Ga State posters for their congratulations on this thread. We've all had a very ugly exchange online since y'all announced football, and it takes a ton of class to give us a thumbs up after that. So thanks, and we'll see you for revenge next season!

Yes, the SoCon was great about supporting members...

App and GS carried that conference too...I kid, I kid...drunk on bowl victory.

We will def. Represent the east in the sbc if not in general, our programs win, just like those snickers commercials; it's what we do.

You guys were great adds, to be sure...

But we miss WKU. And they're really good.

It's been so nice to sit back and read all your posts tonight.

Thank you all for the kind words.

20 years ago, I walked on campus as a freshman and got hooked on Georgia Southern football. My first year was the interim season after Stowers was fired. I've seen this university and her football program grow from then. I'd always dreamed this day would one day come.

I just watched it happen... I still can't believe it's real... Been sitting here basking in it for a couple hours now, and I still have a lump wedged in my throat. My wife (also alum) and I just sitting together on the couch glassy-eyed and can't stop smiling. I just can't believe it's happened. We're here. GS is at the top level of college football. And, we're winning. Tired, voice gone, hangover setting in, teary, and... I'm just gonna shut up now.

Go Eagles!

That's all.

Congratulations on a great win, Eagles! I have to admit that I thought BG might be more than you could handle this year, but they were clearly unprepared for the triple option. GS played tough and took care of business. Way to represent the SBC!
