Exclamation KSU vs. OU
10-0 with 5 min left in the first half and with this offense, it is game over.

KSU vs. OU
There are always reasons and explanations, but is there any doubt we need a new OC next season? Any?

We make average to below average defenses look good.

This team is awesome!! Maybe they should go on an out of town retreat to regroup.

I'm going to bed, and will dream about KSU having a decent football team.

Good night Irene. Turn out the lights.

RE: KSU vs. OU
Our dismal performance in Football year after year is remarkable. It is a continual series of unfullfilled promises and dashed hopes. I don't think you could compile a historical losing record this poor if you tried. History shows that we continually hired the wrong coaches at the right time. Times when we had the right candidates close to the program and we made the wrong pick. It seems that at some point our luck would turn and we would occasionally have a good season. Like maybe something more often than once every forty years. We produce some great individual players but rarely a team . I have a hard time believing that this D1 program is so resource starved that it can't field a team that is competitive at least once in a while. I don't see the players quitting despite the score but damn what is going on! Really every year, the same old story, over and over again.

I quit watching at halftime for this reason! I told wife we wouldn't score a point and I was right on the money!! I have never seen an offense as inept as ours my entire life. It doesn't look like we're winning another game this year. A few weeks ago after the UMASS win I thought PH had earned himself another year, but not so sure about that now. I don't see how our offense can be this bad with him being there for 3 years. I know he's a defensive guy, but this is ridiculous and can be seen as a huge red flag.

I as a fan of over 45 years (2 bowls) have to agree

This is the worst offense I've believe i have ever witnessed - and we have had some bad ones (remember we had a QB throw 5 ints against OU)
- is it possible the defense will score more TDs this year than the offense? Has that ever happened in DI?

Why did we hire our OC in the first place - he led Miami down a rabbit hole they have yet to recover from

Watching Toledo last year I thought great they lose their entire offensive line as all 5 graduated - so they rebuild their entire front five over the summer - why can't we at least get a functional running game?

Why are our receivers usually under 5'9

How does a player like Fackler who was great in HS not contribute more?

Ending a season with two extremely questionable options at QB doesn't bode well for 2016 - we need an Edelman who supposedly showed up and told the starter he was losing his job

How does a guy with Dean Pees apparent ability not succeed?

RE: KSU vs. OU
Food for thought:

When Doug Martin wasn't renewed the Deputy Athletic Director at the time, Kleinlein, was the guy who strongly recommended the hire of Hazell due to Kleinlein's playing experience and professional experience at several BCS conference schools. I have been told he knew what to look for in a coach at this level (leadership, poise, discipline, local connections, etc.) and picked it out immediately during the entire interview process. As I understand it, Kleinlein was scheduled to be on the search committee after Hazell left for Purdue however Kleinlein left for his new job, Georgia Southern, nearly two months earlier then initially planned. The void left our Athletic Director to lead the search for the next head coach literally on his own. I'm under the impression, our A.D. kept the search committee extremely small and may have reached out to campus staff not in the athletic department who all agreed upon Haynes, the A.D. included.

Interestingly, Kleinlein needed to replace his football coach one year into his time at Georgia Southern, a team making the jump from FCS to FBS. His new coach has gone 15-5 so far and was 8-0 in the Sun Belt Conference last year, their first season as an FBS member.

losing 27-0 at home..

as much as i love coach haynes, his job has got to be on the line.

any chance he's gone end of season?

i know people are saying no (saying that ksu won't eat last year of his contract.)

as a person.. i love him. he's a good man.
wish we could have put-up more W's for him.

mmucha--it won't make the game any better, but last night was not at home. At least the thousands of people who wouldn't have gone to the game anyway didn't have to decide not to go.

RE: KSU vs. OU
Started following the Flashes in 1968 and this is the low water mark. As a past supporter of coach Haynes, I am now prepared to declare him in over his head. The first job of a head coach is to select a coaching staff that can make him look competent. Obviously, this has not happened. BTW, I was a Brian Rock fan as OC. During our good 2012 season, I am not sure that he called one play that I would have done differently. We had a personality and used the players abilities. The following year he stayed as part of a new staff. Of course the players were depleted, but even with a poor record, Brian Rock did a good job with the tools available. At the end of the season, there was talk of needing a change with the offense coaches. On this site, some of our fans called for a new coach. Remember, Brian Rock was the same coach that coached half of our team to a top 25 ranking. Did anyone think that he forgot football in a year? Well we ended up with a fired head coach who helped destroy a D1 program as our OC. I have to blame PH for this move and JN for his part in going along with it.
BTW, I would also like to say that our freshman QB is NOT the problem. Last night was filled with dropped, catchable passes. He is big, strong and fast. IMO, with the right support, he could look a lot like Jordan Lynch. Too, bad that he has to spend most of his time running for his life.

Ask any Browns fan or Cubs fan. For some reason this stuff happens.
