At this point of an increasingly long season, I just can't make myself care a lick about some relatively meaningless November game against a Tulsa.
Meaningless? Did you say meaningless? Don't forget that a win could very well put UC in position to receive a bid to the Golden Finger Bowl in Bimiji Minnesota on December 16 against possibly Slippery Fock State.
At first I thought you were full of it. So, I googled it, and realized you're absolutely right! There is such thing as a place called Bemidji, Minnesota.
I was just trying to be sarcastic, and by the way, I am full of it. Sorry about the spelling of Bemidji and I was trying to say Slippery Rock.
One of my hs teammates went on to play four years at Bemidji State. Cool story, I know.

The only reason I spelled it right, is that Google actually corrected me
And "Slippery Fock" - I didn't notice that one. If I did, I would have indeed been asking if you had misspelled (however, I was thinking the second letter, not the first )

UC 45 Tulsa 38
Tulsa has a good offense and I'm expecting a few more UC mistakes to keep the game close.

RE: Football predictions: UC vs. Tulsa, Saturday Nov. 14 7:30 PM
I can see one of two possible scenarios with this game:
1) The Bearcats come out fired up after losing to Houston and put a beat-down on Tulsa (defensively) and rack-up impressive offensive numbers...
Or...
2) The Bearcats, after handing the game to Houston, basically hang-it up for the season and Tulsa, who wants and needs this game more, edges out a close win at Nippert.
I don't know why, but I'm a homer enough to pick the first (while still suspecting the second):
Tulsa-17
Cincinnati-42
(I hope to extend my streak to three games...)

UC has to score a lot to win on Saturday. I will be shocked If UC holds Tulsa under 20 points on Saturday. This game just screams a score like 42-31 or some other large number. UC was around 16 or 17 point favorite, not sure if they can over that.

Giving up 30 to a woeful UCF offense, I have to think UC will put up at least 50 on this team. Tulsa can score, but gotta think the defense can keep them in check some. Home, night game, little chilly, UC 56-24.

Golden Hurricane, there aren't hurricane on the OK plains? Would not Golden Tornados be more appropriate.
Tulsa Golden Hurricane (or variously as Hurricane, TU or Tulsa). Before adopting the name Golden Hurricane in 1922, the University of Tulsa had many unofficial team nicknames including Kendallites (from TU's predecessor institution Henry Kendall College), Presbyterians (from the university's founding by the Presbyterian Church), Tulsans, Tigers, Orange and Black and Yellow Jackets. The name "Golden Tornadoes" was chosen by TU football coach H.M. Archer (1922–24) based on new gold and black uniforms (rather than the previous orange and black) and a remark made during practice of the team "roaring through opponents" (during a season when TU went undefeated, including wins over Texas A&M and the University of Arkansas). However, it was quickly discovered that the same name had been chosen in 1917 by Georgia Tech. Archer then substituted the term "hurricane" for "tornado" and a team vote prior to leaving for the game against Texas A&M confirmed the official nickname as "Golden Hurricane".
Doss,
The "Golden Hurricane " occurs when a tornado comes by, lifts up all the outhouses in the Tulsa area and deposits all the golden liquid back to earth.
