She was interviewed at the half of the LT/Rice game and was a little too low key for my taste, similar to BB in that regard.

But there was a question asked of her as to whether or not C-USA will be expanding. I don't know why that question would be asked of a commissioner of a 14 school conference but her answer was "you never know do you?" delivered with a smile.

I don't like hearing that she's "low key". We need somebody that's gonna "SELL IT!" I have nothing against "low key" people, but selling is typically a weakness for them, and not one of their better skills.

Well, at least we know that she wasn't picked for her looks. So it proves that she's a good hire. 03-wink

Would it be a "pocketful of mumbles" RG comment or a comment about prostitution?

So is there still talk of possibly going to 16 or 18?

I hope we think about football first this time.

I thought she came across very, very bland in that interview. I have never seen or heard her before, but I was hoping she would be a bit more dynamic than she was last night.

Saw it, not impressed....Doesn't excite me one ounce, bland, boring, and didnt really come across as someone who can get something done....I guess we will see....Could be worse, could have the cushion SBC commish jobs performed by Benson and Walters, who spent more time playing golf then worrying about the conference..

Tough crowd from a 2 minute interview. Some of the most effective leaders I have worked with have been on the low key side, reserved but thoughtful and not pushy.

agree wholeheartedly.

these people are acting like she's gonna be sitting across from tv execs trying to explain why they really need the undercoating on the car she's selling them.

no 2 minute interview is going to show what a person is capable of in their job.

heyzeus on a unicycle.

Well they do say, "you never get a second chance to make a first impression." But she went through an interview process and got the job.

the first step for recovery is realizing that you have a problem so there is at least some hope for you.

Still has to sell our conference just like a head coach has to sell his program to recruits...

What are people expecting? How much does the commissioner salary pay? And what is she supposedly selling? G5 in a P5 and NFL world? You get what you pay for and the reality is that there is very little negotiation position for the G5 especially when ESPN is slowly backing out on the ACC.

Doesn't mean she has to do it like a head coach.

She seemed very intelligent to me. Britton had no charisma either. She wouldn't be able to stop a mass exodus either.

Her expansion comment was interesting. She was being coy. Why? Something interesting/hush-hush might be going on out there that she's privy to.
