He is a guard isn't he? I caught a couple of St Aug's games this past season.

What about Mike Bibby Jr.?

Looks like Memphis and USC are his only offers .... CJp and his dad are tight!

He's tiny, but can shoot the cover off the ball

Jarreau's older brother (Jernard) is transferring from Washington. Will have 2 years to play.

6'10" and averages 5 & 5. My guess would be LSU - they just lost some bigs!

FWIW

Thanks for sharing and giving some names of guys we have interest in and are recruiting it's quiet on the recruiting front seems like. Where does Micah Thomas play HS and AAU for? Also do we want Jaylen Fisher? Maybe the staff doesn't want him. Opinions on him are all over the place. He definitely doesn't sound like a guy who is definite starting PG at a high level D-1 school. Maybe I'm wrong I have not seen him play other than his mixtape stuff which is hard to tell anything cause no defense is being played in AAU. We need some pieces though we are losing a lot next year. I trust Damon's judgment on a pg seeing as he was a high level pg at the highest level. I'm sure he can see things and get a read on a guy a lot better since he knows what it takes to play play the position effectively.

I still don't know why we don't target a shooter regardless of stars beside their name and how high they can jump and how fast they are. It's a blind spot I think with our coach. We just recruit athletes and hope they will get better shooting. Why not get a specialist who just sits on the three point line and knocks down shots it would open up the floor for everyone esp the bigs teams couldn't sag back and dare us to shoot. Pastner should sit down with Bo Ryan and pick his brain on recognizing shooters in hs and how to evaluate those guys who have no stars but have a skill that we desperately need. Even the NBA has guys who can't move but get mins because they are great shooters. To me that's what we are lacking is a couple shooters. They are out there most teams have them but for whatever reason we lack them. Wisconsin played in back to back final fours with mainly under the radar unathletic guys who had one skill. They could shoot the cover off the ball. Stop looking at the stars beside a guys name and recruit a team. U just can't recruit all athletes and hope they end up being good shooters. U get a couple guys who just knock down shots. All teams need shooters and a couple blue collar guys who are scrappy hard nosed players then u throw in some athletes with them and you have a balanced team. Until we can shoot we won't win at a high level.

His uhofficial visit to Wake Forest went very well, and Danny Manning is said to be pushing hard for a commitment. The Wake Forest offer isn't showing up on recruiting sites yet, but it's there. Is Ole Miss withdrawing their offer, or Tulsa? The kid is high major D1, Archie Miller flew in for a private session, and the team on him the longest is Virginia, with Missouri in play. Wisconsin was too, but with their coach retiring we'll see. He has three offers so far, and two of those teams made the NCAA last year, while we did not. I'd say that's not only Div 1, but high major Div 1, as projected. For any team that needs a drop dead three point gunner, he's the guy. But he does not fit the mold of what Pastner recruits.

No, we are not, and at this point it's probably pointless as too many others are ahead of us.

Bump. Keith Easterwood, since you are located in Chattanooga, what is the chatter around Ado these days? Is Memphis still involved and, if so, can we get a visit?

I happen to know someone very close to Ado, and just this week I asked where he is leaning. I was told that he is most interested in Louisville, but it seems that Pitino's interest in him has cooled recently.

Yes, word is that Louisville has moved on from what you can find on the internet in the recruiting circles. Hopefully Memphis is still in on him hard. It would be nice to secure a visit and a commitment, even if he wouldn't sign an LOI until the late signing period once the dust settles.

Nate Hoover to Wofford. Seems like Memphis wasn't the only high major not recruiting him hard enough.

They were on him very, very hard, and his visit went brilliantly. He also played on the wrong AAU team, but that's another story. The kid really wants to enjoy college but do not think it's set in stone just yet. He may well sign early, however. Good for him, but we are going to be very sorry we didn't at least consider him.

RE: 2016 Targets
October 27th, and all we have is a Juco? On top of that, we aren't even really in on anyone except maybe the Chicago point guard? Do we have any plans to get some bigs, or are we just gonna try to play Nick and Dedric 40 minutes a game?
