I fully admit, I had never heard of Buddy Jewell, until I googled him and figured out he is an Arkansas State grad. So I guess Squidward Tentacles is now the 2nd most famous Arkansas State alum?
Was a walk-on qb.

They put an illustration up of next games coming up on ESPN platforms. They showed the Tuesday night game.

The UL image was that of the Lafayette Leopards......

I saw that too, the poor Cajuns just can't get away from the Leopards stigma.

No excuse for that. UL has been a bowl game those idiots have televised for the past four years.

It's so blatantly obvious at this point that it is being done on purpose. I'm pretty sure they even did this DURING our bowl game last season. I could care less what you call us, at least get the logo correct.

Yes, it did occur during the Bowl game as it has during all four Bowl games......

And people still wonder why we try to move away from the -Lafayette. And it has nothing to do with not being proud of the city. I would put Lafayette up against any city around and would come out pretty well. My deal is that this Lafayette Leopards bs is old and tired and it seems like its a way for ESPN to remind everyone that they are in control.

While I wish that were true, since stAte is devoid of a rival since the Memphis series ended, ULM is your rival. That's pretty clear. You guys hate each other.

I've never met an stAte fan that hated ULL, or even disliked them. We're more similar than not.

I think our recent successes have created a rivalry. I dont think hate has to be a part of it. Respect in a rivalry is cool too.
I do think that ULM is a rivalry even if some Cajun fans dont want to admit it.

Get the feeling up here, that unless Memphis is on their schedule, ULL is the closest thing to a rivalry for them also.

A-States most 'entrepreneurial' HC, has been rather low key in approaching this game. A-State fans are hoping this might mean he is actually focusing on getting his team ready to play.

Their fans biggest worry, aside from ULL's rb rushing for 300 yards,or their own qb killing them with interceptions and turnovers, is that their HC will do something stupid at absolutely the worse time during the game (he calls it something else), something he has promised to do every once in a while, and has been true to his word.

What it the overall record? I know stAte fans respect UL. Last four years of good stAte football have still seen a split. Although I think both schools will end up bowling again this year, this game is very important to both fan bases.

I thins stAte should be the favorite and if our QB comes to play, I think stAte can win. I also expect a crowd in the 24 to 25k range even with it being a Tuesday night.

It is exhausting to be in the same conference with USG, lest we forget.

Back on topic, the Cajuns need to give the business to Anderson's team after that disgusting "show" the Red Wolves put on in Lafayette last season.

The UL Cajuns are the only rival I see when I look at stAte's Football Schedule . . we have been playing each other for a very long time . . it is not an option to lose to the Cajuns. 05-mafia

I think you are thinking that a rivalry only exists with hate. We have a healthy respect for the Cajuns...always has. It is a rivalry primarily because the players don't like each other, and neither team really has a huge rivalry game otherwise. It's sort of been born out of necessity.

You don't have to hate a team to be their rival.

Last Years game produced a gazillion combined penalties, five suspensions to players, two censure's of coaches, a suspension of the officiating crew, and a letter of reprimand to both schools.

What will this years game produce? AState spent most of the last recruiting year building specifically with Elijah McGuire and Marcus Cox in mind...this is the first chance to show if we have made any significant improvement on defense.

I'm hoping we can use this game as another integral part of a Prophet Highlight Video like the last 2 years.
