RE: Game Day: Toledo
why are we always kicking 50 +yard field goals. Are we trying to get Mulder the Lou Groza award. That puts the game out of reach, total momentum swing. C'mon Creighton, that is some dumb decision making.

Sure...the glaring problem with this team is the defense. Right... Over/under on the number of 3 and outs for EMU's offense today?

Oh, the addition of Bell today has put the offense on equal footing with the hurrendess Defense!

EMU has 150 yards rushing on one of the top defenses in the nation. EMU has more first downs than Toledo. EMU has been hurt by penalties, a blocked Field Goal and a turnover. EMU's problem is the defense, if you can't see that your either blind or dumb. Did you miss the 91 yard run the defense gave up, how about the three 3rd and long conversions when EMU needed a stop.

Big plays are killing us again especially in the special teams area. Lets see a better executed second half. And yes lets not stop running the ball despite being down the running game opens up the pass.

Now if they could just convert on 3rd down!

If we start converting on 3rd downs this will be mitigated.

Again when does EMU football execute all the fundamentals all the time in a game? Wyoming is the only example I can think of.

Ah yes, that's the excuse for this game. It's always something. Roback makes poor decisions... Reggie Bell can't throw the ball... BUT the defense is the problem with this team and NOW, because Bell is in the game, the offense sucks as bad as the defense. Toledo isn't even rushing Bell because they know he can't throw the ball. No doubt Roback wouldn't be able to complete a pass because of his poor decision making and being hurried in the pocket.

No one steps up and plays beyond himself and we are left making excuses. Sadly, instead of holding people accountable and saying that their deficiencies aren't "bad problems to have" people on this forum place most of the blame on the defense. Well, guess what? Bell's and Roback's deficiencies ARE bad problem to have because, regardless of the efforts of the coaches, they (Bell and Roback) ALWAYS revert back to their bad habit when it's crunch time.

My point? There is more than enough blame to go around for the poor performance of this team than in laying most of the blame on the defense.

Because either you have faith in your players to make plays or you don't. If it has turned out you'd be calling CC a genius.

Observation when either of QBs interceptions equal or almost are equal to their TDs that's not good QBing.

There you go, name calling again. Classic!

How many 3 and outs will EMU' offense have today? How many offensive mistakes will put severe pressure on EMU's defense.

Are you going to call me a name again or are you going to act like an adult and answer my questions. Surely, you're more mature than you come across on this forum. Calling someone dumb is 3rd grade BS.

EMU's version of a 3 and out is for the opponent to score on only 3 plays.

RE: Game Day: Toledo
No doubt EMU's offense would have put more points on the boards if the defense was just better. Of course, I'm too blind and/or dumb to see the truth...that the only reason EMU only has 6 points is because their own defense is stopping the offense from scoring. Makes perfect sense.

And they've been so successful on their other possessions. Probably the fault of the defense.
