Good game, USF. The Bulls were the most physical team we've faced. They really took it to us in the first quarter. All they are lacking from being a very good team is better skill players.
As for Memphis, the Tigers just find a way to win. Tonight is a very good reminder that the easy portion of the schedule ended with Kansas. There are no easy ones left.

But let's cool it with throwing the word "thug" around. It's a loaded word that often comes with racist overtones. And no, it doesn't matter if that's "not how you meant it." We want to make sure that all fans of AAC schools feel welcome on this forum.
Growing up in the Northeast, the thug term was used to describe the hired help of mob bosses/gangsters to commit violent acts, and those individuals were mostly White or Asian. Thugs are people who commit violent acts. Anyone of any race can be one. I have not used the term on this board, but I also won't be bullied into not using it if the term fits.

Rock on!
Nothing worse that claims of racism by proxy.
Thug is a rude word. Especially when one fan base is talking about another fan base. But It is not inherently racist. The PC police is getting a little out of hand,
Memphis is an 3xcellent ball club. Very impressed with Fuente. I remember when he first came to Memphis and saw how much better the Tigers played with his leadership after only one year.

There are two easy ones left. The rest are tough.
Agree. Tulane and SMU should be wins. The other 5, who knows? Could win or lose any or all of them.

True. We will strive for 1-0 each week and hope for the best.

USF feels like Memphis is year 2 under Fuente...
Unfortunately for Taggart is year 3 so he might not be around for the turn around
I think there is one big difference. Even when we won 4 and 3 games in Fuente's first two seasons, you could see that we were continuing to get better, even though our talent wasn't above average.
At USF, it doesn't feel like you're substantially improving, just staying the same, even with better talent than average.
