I'm not really following them yet, but it's really going to be interesting.

If it's Hillary and Bernie, they have a bit of the same issue. I think Bernie could appeal to indies, and the young are excited by him... but the establishment want's hillary. Unfortunately, I don't see indies or young flocking to Hillary, and a Bernie/Hillary ticket is a non-starter.

This is actually the perfect year for a coalition european style government... With Bernie, Hillary.. Maybe Rand or Cruz or Trump or Bush all getting 25-40% of the vote and having to form coalitions in the various individual issues to get anything passed.

but of course, that won't happen... But that seems to be where the 'interest' is. I just don't see that any candidate has a lot of 'centrist' appeal.

I could see Bernie and Rand or Cruz making an interesting pairing.

If he can get any traction, Kasich appeals most to independents.

I tend to agree Miko...and...He is very popular in Ohio. That is very good one-two punch.

Kasich is done. He not only defended Obama's Iran deal, he did so poorly. There is still time for him to run as a democrat, however.

Kasich and the drop off is huge. I also think you lose a lot of hardcore conservatives with him. A wash.

Rubio, Kasich, Trump. I have a feeling many Trump supporters are not life-long Republicans.

What EVER made you think independents actually would vote for Trump?! (Or are we talking about fringe independents who are not moderate in political stance?)

Independents will not vote for Trump. Republicans will not vote for Carson or Rubio, Cruz, or Carly.

Kasich is the only logical choice because he's moderate enough for independents, male enough for Republicans, and White enough for Conservatives.

He would win all the traditionally red states anyway simply because he's a republican and he would appeal to way more independents than the other candidates.

The republicans don't need to worry about winning nebraska, texas, south carolina, or any of the other states. They need to elect someone that can win Ohio and Florida. No other states really matter because the outcome in many of those states is already decided.

You could probably throw Virginia in there too and maybe Colorado.

No independent or conservative is going to vote for someone who defends the Iran deal. And if he flip flops, who is going to believe him?

So you're going to win swing states by alienating your core base for SOME of a swing base? Okay...

This only works with the assumption that you lose 0 votes in angering your core. I don't think conservative voters always trend that way.
