General Claire Chennault that was the head of the Flying Tigers is from the Monroe area and the P-40 Warhawk is actually what our mascot is. I've always said we need to play up the plane and this are just AWESOME! Only thing that would have looked better is a chrome helmet with the shark teeth and eyes on it. Thoughts?
Love the P-40 man. My second favorite plane of WWII behind the B-17. The helmets really should've been changed to have the painted mascot that many planes had on the side.
Heck of a lot better than our Military Appreciation Day unis which are, well, none existent because Adidas messed up our uniforms and we'll be wearing a piece meal away combo the next 2 weeks....at home.
( I don't know that we had a special uniform planned but wanted to make the point we won't even have our regular homes)

Thanks guys. I'm very pumped and even hear we may start wearing these more often. After thinking about it a matching color helmet matte with the shark teeth would be cool.
The Curtis-40 Warhak, aka Kittyhawk, as well as the Tomahawk, but most widely known as the Warhawk. A pre-war production aircraft made famous by William Chanault's American Volunteer Group (AVG) aka the "Flying Tigers" that fought the Japanese in China prior to direct (official) American involvement in the war. One of my all time favorite warbirds along with the F-4U Corsair. The P-40 flew in nearly every theater. North Africa, Far East, Italy, with the USAAC, Canada, the UK, Aussies, and New Zeland . Between it and the Navy F-4 Wildcat, that's about all we had in respectable numbers when our backs were to the wall on Guadalcanal. Awesome plane. Love the sound of that Allison V12.
Cool Uniforms ! Nice try anyway, though it has more of a Captain Americaness to it than an airplane. I think using the distinctive tiger teeth or sharks teeth from the engine cowling on the helmet would have been a nice touch.
Now ULM in either Realtree or MossyOak, I could dig that. For the military appreciation, maybe something Fort Polkish
Just for kicks, cause they sound so good and look like what they are vintage warbird !
