... I'm ready for see CJP gone in the worst way, but I agree here with Geoff. A little late to try and play the class card. Of course, they may have felt they had to play "hard ball" with the lawyer to get what they really wanted (Virginia), but nonetheless.

Andy Katz just tweeted that Nichols skills will soar as he redshirts next year at UVA.

Whether he owns it or not, that's a huge jab at Pastner. Not that I disagree, but I predict Katz back pedals and says it's not a shot at Pastner. Katz just wants people to like him.

I have zero problem with him transferring, he has to do what is the best for his future. However, I'd like to give him and his dad the biggest F U I possibly can for allowing their lawyer to release that statement. I sincerely hope that one day when this boy becomes a man he realizes how poorly that was handled and issues a real apology.

This kinda sets up Pastner either way at the end of the season ... "Look what he's been able to accomplish even after losing his star and leading scorer so late in the calendar year; he's really done an amazing job" ... or ... "it's difficult to be critical of the lack of success Pastner has had this season when he was blindsided by the very late departure of his star and leading scorer."
