That's because his message is pure bull****.

Not really, it's just not PC. The incident in San Fran is just an example.

One...ONE anecdotal example. It's akin to asshats debunking global warming due to a snowball.

So, only one illegal has commited a crime? That's reassuring. Look, Trump messed up when he singled out one group, but what he said isn't false and just goes to show that people would rather point out his word choice than actually deal with the topic. I get that it. It's easier to complain than actually deal with the situation.

It is most certainly false. There is NO evidence that I've seen that indicates immigrants, legal or otherwise, are more prone to commit crime than people born in America.

And I never said only one illegal has committed a crime. I'm saying that you can't just use one example to prove Trump's "theory."

Boy...does this describe this latest attempt or what?!?
Quote:Anti-immigrant activists and politicians are fond of relying upon anecdotes to support their oft-repeated claim that immigrants, especially undocumented immigrants, are dangerous criminals. This mythical claim is usually based on rhetorical sleight of hand in which individual stories of heinous crimes committed by immigrants are presented as “proof” that we must restrict immigration or “get tough” on the undocumented in order to save the lives of U.S. citizens. While these kinds of arguments are emotionally powerful, they are intellectually dishonest.

The thing is, the illegal should not be here in the first place to even have the opportunity to commit the crime, let alone be allowed to reenter 5 times. Sanctuary Cities should not exist and now we see why.

True, but it's not exactly like he was 'allowed to reenter' the US five times. Also, it's not entirely clear yet exactly who screwed up the last time he was released...both sides are blaming the other.

Quote:"I have a great relationship with the Mexican people. I have many people working for me -- you can look at the job in Washington -- I have many legal immigrants working with me. And many of them come from Mexico."

Sound familiar? Remember this from 2011:

From what I've read ICE asked San Fran to let it know when San Fran was going to release the criminal. San Fran, being the sanctuary city it is, basically told ICE to fak off by NOT telling ICE when it released the dude. Now, why in the hades San Fran released the dude in the FIRST place is what I don't understand.

It matters not one freaking bit if illegals are more or less prone to commit crime.

Exactly. Their being here in the first place is a crime, much less anything done after they violate our borders.

It cracks me up how all cops (according to liberals) are power hungry racists, but when given example after example of illegals committing crimes here, they still won't admit that it's a problem.

Generalize much? There isn't one liberal poster here who has ever said or even implied that all cops are power hungry racists.

And crime is a problem...nobody is saying otherwise. But again, there is no credible evidence that illegals commit any more crime than those born in America. And in all actuality, they commit less crime even if you include their crime of entering the country illegally! I'm sorry that facts just don't seem to matter to you.

Perhaps you should tell your side then...and The Donald...to stop acting like it does.

Well, since the problem is illegals committing crime and that most all of it could be prevented....

One thing Trump may have found out is that there are lots of Democrats that also have a problem with illegal immigration....specifically African Americans. He for sure was off base with his original comment..but..let's not act like there is not a LOT of truth to much of what he said. Immigration is an issue that crosses party lines.

In the upside down world of liberals ... illegal aliens > U.S. citizens

It is far better to give sanctuary to 1,000 illegals, even if a few Americans die. We're a big country; we can afford to lose a few people.

Regardless of his comments on immigration, after listening to his interview today all I can say is what a jerk. He makes Chris Christie look like Miss Manners. Was Trump raised in New Jersey?
