Happy Hour w/ Tommy Tuberville June 4th
I like the sound of this. Too bad I fall outside the Young Professional Demo.

Millions? Does everyone get a free penicillin shot for attending?

Killed a lot of brain cells in that joint. If you do the "drink the wall" challenge, don't do it so that the wine coolers are last.

"Happy Hour with Tommy Tuberville" is a rather ironic event, since he doesn't drink. Regardless, that would be awesome to attend. And Rath's point about killing brain cells is simply icing on the cake.

So anyone out of the young Demi attending? I am thinking about going but I do not want to go if I am the only one in my 40s or over there.

Where did you see that? I always see him with a beer at the signing day dinner with a beer. Usually a Corona. He'd be a blast at a real happy hour.

Most people who I have seen comment on the subject, seem to think he either doesn't drink, or does so very lightly. Doesn't really matter though...

I would be considered young if, and only if, life expectancy was around 287 years.

Unless Bud Light Lime is just a prop, he drank when I sat with him. Usually has one in hand before coach's shows. Not a big deal either way....of course Bud Light Lime is the bastard son of Genesee.

Baptists love to sneak a drink here and there. They really wish their church festivals had beer and gambling like Catholics.

You're correct Rath... "Bud Light Lime" is the key phrase. You would probably be able to lump Corona in with that as well, but that does taste a LITTLE better.

I don't really count anything that needs a lemon or lime squished in, just to make it taste good, as a beer. But, I realize, to each his/her own...

Veering off the highway, over the berm, and into a ditch...

Aren't many craft beers nothing more than beer with stuff squished in it? Gimmicks? Silly names, and all kinds of attributes most people can't taste but are afraid to admit.

I was a part of the wine redux generation. We started with Boone's Farm, and ended up drinking expensive French, and later, California wines.

Every generation needs a few things to reinvent. We also liked crepes and fondue and there were successful chain restaurants for both. And of course, you can thank my generation for making dope fashionable.

There, I've said it again.

Not every craft beer has pumpkin, fruit, or whatever else, squished into it.

The Reinheitsgebot was enacted in 1516, as a provision that beer is required to contain water, malt and hops. Not sure why the original law doesn't include the yeast, because, beer pretty much cannot ferment without that :-)

So, anything squished into a beer that is not malt, water, hops or even yeast, relegates the beer, as "something else".

I suspect the lack of yeast as a listed ingredient was because of it's ubiquitous nature. It is always in the air and fermentation can occur without it being added (spontaneous lambic fermentation).

Thread now officially driven over a cliff.

Agree (on the cliff part too - LOL!). The other three ingredients are very tangible, whereas the yeast is, pretty much, microscopic.
