If true, good for them. But the fight is just beginning for UAb football. It's a long way back to mediocrity, even for them.

Yea but getting their football program back is better than nothing...WKU fans know this back in 1992 when our football was almost cut...

Maybe this was a good wakeup call for them, but it was a horrible waste of funds.

Good. Now maybe we don't have to worry about being pillaged again by CUSA and can focusing on solidifying and strengthening our conference.

Man, you've been dogging UAB throughout this whole ordeal. What's your problem? Did you want in CUSA that badly?

TXST has been an historically mediocre program. You want us to fold also?
USA has had a program all of how many years? How stellar have you been? Would you feel the same way if it happened to your program?

This will happen 1 of 2 ways. They bring football back and it languishes for a few seasons until Clark can get the recruits, again, that he needs to win or, he will get players that are determined to go to UAB because of what happened, to rebuild from where they left off; to try and prove it was on the upswing. (which will, in turn, prove some of the accusations thrown at the BOT)

RE: UAB Staying in CUSA Restarting Football
great news for our conference, as Troy4ever said we can now put to rest any rumors of USA poaching our teams and we can move forward building our conference, and even though they are staying, their football program is going to be on a very tight budget, and probably going to be a really bad for a long time, just cant see UAB football program being a positive for CUSA, which is always good for us.

Good, this is one less thing our conference needs to worry about.

My condolences to those who were pimping on the CUSA board.

I really don't want in CUSA, anymore. At one time, yes, now, no. And if they bring it back, CUSA just got another startup program in their conference, good for them. I have lived in the BHM area for 15 years, I have attended UAb games before South started football, I supported them and wished for success. There has been nearly no success, and less support for that program. I would just like UAb fan if my program was cut, even as young as it is, but I have seen this program up close, and the "supporters" always have excuses for not actually showing up to games. And the biggest excuse is still there, stadium. Yes, winning solves a lot of that, and last year, they finally won, however, all that has now been erased and they are starting over. They will get a huge crowd for the first game, and they will lose, the way they always have when given the big stage in BHM. I hope they win, I hope the kids win, I like Bill Clark, I think he will make them winners, but when it's all over. Bama rules this town, always will, and the support will fall short of the promised money.

The whole problem with them shutting that program down, they did it a year to late.

Again, good luck UAb!!!

RE: UAB Staying in CUSA Restarting Football
this pretty much the final nail in the coffin for JMU, doesn't look like there is going to be an opening in CUSA for a long time, not even sure SBC is interested anymore.

No he just hates UAB. He is one of about two people who have been banned in our history. That act got his panties wound so tight he is still crying three years later

This is something we'll NEVER know for sure, but I'd like to know if JMU decided to explore a Sun Belt invitation, how they'd be received.

And I don't mean from a fan standpoint, I mean how the admin of the Sun Belt schools would react to it.

So happy for UAB fans. Glad they fixed it even though it's a huge mess.

Don't think the end of that is true, although I did get banned for questioning the higher ups on the blazer page. Just because I point out truths doesn't make me the bad guy. 05-nono
