Why does that give me a sinking (11-1) feeling?

RE: C-USA Baseball Tournament Bracket 2015
Well, all of these teams have dangerous elements, but I'd much rather be in a double-elimination bracket with MTSU, UTSA, and FIU than red-hot USM and almost-hosting FAU. I'd swap UAB for FIU if I could, but that's an otherwise ideal bracket for us. Now we've just gotta execute.

My big questions is...who starts that first game versus FIU?? It's tempting to hold back the top 3 (Stephens, McCanna, Fox) in hopes of a championship run. Dare we open with Salinas or Pettitte? I'd also be tempted to go with McCanna on short rest, as he seemed to have the best handle on FIU's batters; certainly better than Jordan did on Thursday. But I guess 4 days isn't enough time for Kevin to safely recover. #keithlaw

Well we need to do a better job against the guy who pitched against us on Thursday, but otherwise our half of the bracket seems much easier than the other half. Is it a round-robin format, or a double elimination tournament this year?

And I think you have the reason Mourelle was pulled after just one inning. Sure, we hit him hard, but he is their best pitcher, and they may very well be planning on starting him against us on Wednesday. Consequently, they didn't want us to get all too familiar with his stuff. Jordan will get the opportunity to avenge his Thursday night hiccup vs. FIU; something I am sure the competitor that he is relishes greatly.

Jordan's mother, Molly, has already posted on facebook that Jordan will be on the mound. Makes sense since it would allow him to be available for at least several innings in a potential championship game on Sunday.

I hate to say this, but Pettitte has been woeful every single outing he's come in over the past 6+ weeks. I don't think we even use him in the bullpen at this point, save for washup duties. I think we're unfailrly critiqueing Jordan's effort on Thursday, as it was a rain delay outing, and he never had his command. Consequently, in addition to uncharacteristically walking batters, he was forced to groove pitches. I'd be shocked if he has a repeat performance.

The guy we faced Thursday (Nunez) is NOT a very good pitcher....and he's been consistently wild all year long. We had him on the ropes early and totally squandered both first and second inning opportunities due to ridiculously bad baserunning and a failed bunt/strikeout. Once FIU jumped on Stephens the next inning, the entire team went into a coma, and Nunez settled in with the comfortable lead.

I have OwlVision and CUSA access, but when I clicked on the link it when straight to the site without asking me for my user name and password.

I'm actually going to give USM the at-large NCAA berth if they win 3 more straight to advance to the final.
Winner of the tournament gets to host a regional (as long as it's us or FAU)
If we can't be the hottest team heading into the tournament, glad that they're in the other bracket.

Neither FAU or Rice will be hosting even if they/we win four straight games. Mark my word.

On the C-USA site, there appears to be a conflict in the format. The text says there are two double elimination brackets with four teams each, but the game schedule below on Friday shows the winners of the two loser games playing each other, as well as the losers of the two winners games playing each other. This would result in teams crossing brackets.
