WTF are you posting about? Media narrative? What media narrative? If there is a media narrative it is that cops are going wild and killing blacks. Now every time a black dies at the hands of a cop, it's a national story. That's the media narrative.

So when someone posts about a cop being shot, as counterpoint to the media narrative, you latch on to the "epidemic" term and try to turn the entire thread into a rant that "the number of cops dying isn't so bad, just look at the statistics."

Want some facts? How about from Jan 1 until April 30, there were 642 shootings, with 115 murders in Chicago. That's up from a year ago by 19%. Does that qualify as an epidemic? I wonder what the media narrative is about those figures? Perspective.

The media narrative is that crime is worse, it's everywhere, and that things are worse now than ever before. Depending on your source, it can be aimed differently or to specific culprits, but this is the overarching narrative portrayed by all media outlets because it sells. People don't watch the news when they think things are fine, they watch the news when cars are burning and people are being shot.



Not everything is about ideology buddy, calm it down and realize that we're on the same team here.

Even if I give you the benefit of the doubt that it's used to describe black men "99.9% of the time", it is used to accurately describe the person as a 'violent criminal' i.e. "thug" 100% of the time.
