UAB fans, since there have been so many articles calling the BOT corrupt, including Forbes now, how can the Alabama AG not get involved and open an investigation?

it is hard to believe that Ray Watt is still having a job! How low can this guy go?

Hard to say. Dude would have to buy a dog to have a friend on campus, but he has the full-throated support of the 16 people on earth with the power fire him.

Roll Tide.

Yup......

Angry? Not at all. Skeptical of the waves of evidence that are going to actually change the course of events that have already killed UAB football? Yes.

I watched a documentary of the Hillsborough Tragedy over the weekend and it's a good rule of thumb when dealing with a cover up. You can have all the evidence in the world to show that the fabricated story every one was fed is a blatant lie and nothing will happen. The Hillsborough Tragedy happened in 1989...a second (or third) coroner's inquest was done in 2014. And they have mountains of evidence and still they cannot get justice.

You see all of us Sun Belt posters here...we know what the score is. UAB was shut down under false pretenses. It's a travesty that should keep us all on our toes because god knows when that hammer could come down on our heads. We aren't dancing on anyone's graves. Don't get things twisted around...we want your spot at the table. But we aren't here pointing and laughing at you.

I just don't want to see people jumping on all this evidence and getting their hopes up only to have them dashed at the 11th hour. Which is the inevitable outcome. Every football fan knows the score. Every journalist knows the score. They don't make the decisions. The people who do make the decisions do not care what the truth is. It's going to end badly.

For the moment, it's still our spot.

I hope whatever team Louisiana is loses every game 1000-0.

They have a LOT of politicians paid off. It's an uphill fight but we are gaining speed as we near the crest.

What's lacking is a big-time donor coming forward with a mountain of cash to save the program.

Already happened. 10-15 million dollars should be considered big-time. 4,300 season ticket pledges raised by someone not even working for UAB in right around 3 days should be considered big-time. I don't think they care how much money is brought to the table. Any other school in this conference would have freaking jumped at the chance for donors to raise you 15 million, donors paying for an indoor practice facility, or an outside force trying to raise you 10,000 season ticket sales. Any other school.

The only thing they could possibly not cover up or attempt to disregard would be to have some billionaire come out of no where and just hand them 50 million dollars which isn't going to happen for nearly any FBS programs ever.

The whole thing is a big charade.

Hold on just a cotton pickin minute. Where dd anyone on here get thte idea that SBC fans are happy/giddy about any of this? I just want to know.

From every post I've seen there is nothing but repulsion for what the BOT did and angst for UAB. Any conference realignment/replacement has been started by media source, not the SBC board. Yeah, it's reported there but that's how forums work.

Personally, I come over here 3/4 times a week to see what is happening with the situation and if there is anything I can pull to post on the SBC forum or Facebook to expose the BOT.

I'd also like to see the full "4th Down" documentary when it's released, so I'll be waiting/for that.

It's truly appalling....
I suppose my words/sympathies are no match for what CUSA has had for UAB but I'm just out of words to describe the despicable act.

Thanks for your words. I certainly don't think its everyone but some have been taking joy in it. Not all. Between that and certain posters acting like vultures (some not all) it is hard to stomach. At least let us be dead before you pick the carcass clean.

If this had handed to any school even one I don't like I would be appalled and go to their defense in a heart beat.

attall, I dont think people are happy about what happened to uab. However I hate to say it life goes on and barring a substantial event(which may still happen) UAB will not be in CUSA after next season. For all the teams dreaming moving up its not glee at uabs expense its the glee oppurtunity after years of waiting and while its unfortunate to have it come at UABs expense thats life.

Actually UAB will be in C-USA next season unless UAB withdraws on its own per C-USA.
