In that case Marshall cheats like they schedule, do you half ass everything in life.

The playoff committee refused to rank Marshall despite them being ranked in both polls. Their schedule was so bad in the committee's eyes that they essentially considered them no differently that a FCS transitional team and therefore ineligible for the G5 bowl.

Marshall has to do better if they want to be taken seriously. Nobody likes a boxer that refuses to fight the top contenders for fear of losing.

But we was ranked for 3 weeks in the poll until we lost to WKU by 1.

And the CFP doesn't have a final end of season poll but we was ranked in the final coaches and APR polls.

When was Georgia Southern ever even close to being ranked?? Winning the Sun Belt is not an accomplishment especially when you don't play ULL or Arkansas State. There should be an asterisk next to your record

Plus the CFP was waiting to see if we would have finish undefeated which we didn't but I would still take a 13-1 season and conference and bowl champions with a unanimous top 25 final ranking.

Plus Georgia Southern was eligible for the access bowl

Last year was Georgia Southern's first year in FBS so a 9-3 season with less than 85 scholarships was acceptable to MOST GaSo fans. As far as the MAC being seen as super power in the G5 most of us over here compare them with the SWAC of the FCS. I'm sure Marshall has a good band but leave the football to GaSo.

So what's the Sun Belt since they finished LAST in the G5 rankings??

I'm pretty sure the other Bison team would beat Marshall too.

Herd is just mad that every accomplishment he tries to hang his hat on Georgia Southern either did it first or did it better. They win a national title in 92, we already had 4. They go undefeated in 96 to win a national title to become the second team to ever do that. Sadly for them we blazed that trail in 89. They move up and win the mac in their first year with a record of 7-1. We move up and win our conference going 8-0. I can see why they hate us. It has to be hard to constantly be one upped.

Definitely not a good Florida team, but we were a team with a slough of injuries playing our third-string player at the primary back position who is 5-9 and about 185 pounds (it's supposed to be a power back position) and a team that shifted around players on the offensive side of the ball all year.

When we went into Florida we had a freshman starting QB and the best player on our team was playing slotback, where he hadn't played in two years.

You know Eigen & PinH its only in the past 2 years that The Heard has made a comeback after about 8 miserable years of sub standard play.
Their 5 year coach Doc Holiday has racked up 2 very good years. This allows H.Fever to beat his chest & be proud once more. A dreg becomes a power once more - interesting story line which HeardFeaver doesn't want to admit to.

Talon what do you think he is going to do when we walk out of Morgan Town with a W? Something his precious herd have never done.

Well PnH, Heard Fever has become bold in bragging about the Heard's last 2 years on the field. When we beat WV I doubt we'll hear from him for weeks. He will return after every GaSo loss to rub it in, but thankfully that means he won't be around much.

NCeagle, I like your GS signature but you should add our 2 national championship runner-up seasons of 1988 & 1998 because those teams should be recognized also. It shows that we played for the NC 8 times from 1985 - 2000. ((Just Say'n not bad for a 15 year run.))

**And yes the FCS NDSU Bison would have taken Marshall to the woodshed the past three years.

Sorry, EKU was the first undefeated NC for FCS in 1983. Went 13-0. You were the first to do it with the expanded field. Still wince at the our fumble on a quarterback sneak inside your 5 in the 89 semifinals.
