Potential new bowl in Tucson vs MWC
Quote:@McMurphyESPN
Tucson (MW/C-USA) & Little Rock (AAC/SB) expect to apply for new bowls, sources told @ESPN. Would be 42 bowls in 2015

A bowl at War Memorial, now that's a venue Any guesses on the name, the slick willy bowl?
Glad CUSA got the tie in with Tucson instead of Little Rock

Another MWC bowl is not a bad thing. However another eastern bowl would have been nice.

MWC bowls are usually good games. We have a strong history with most of those schools anyway.

Not wild about an SBC matchup, but Little Rock is MUCH closer to the majority of Tech's fanbase, and most of C-USA as a whole. I'm thankful for the potential of adding a bowl to C-USA, but Little Rock, like Dallas was this year, would be an easy trip for most of our fans.

The Belt fans are probably happy with the location of their bowl. I imagine it will be the stAte bowl most years they are eligible.

Would be 42. 84 teams going bowling. Also, PAC 12 trying to start a bowl for 2016 in Melbourne, Australia.

Travel for fans is a concern but at War Memorial in Little Rock versus a Sun Belt school. Against a SEC school, Yes definitely even with a less desirable venue and location. The Heart of Dallas bowl is CUSA best bowl in IMO at the actual Cotton Bowl in Dallas versus a Big Ten School

I would've preferred Little Rock because it's closer for our fan bases but I'm glad we didn't get a belt bowl. MWC will be much better.

Re: Potential new bowl in Tucson vs MWC
HA....CUSA gets the MWC in Tuscon while the American gets the Sunbelt in Little Rock?....lol. I'll take the Tuscon vs the MWC anyday over the Little Rock destination vs a Sunbelt team. Kudos to Banowsky on that one.

This could shift New Orleans to more of an eastern bowl (when it is a C-USA tie) by taking a west school off the table.

Maybe UAB's replacement will be west of the Mississippi.

RE: Potential new bowl in Tucson vs MWC
Adding a Tucson bowl vs MWC is a win. Please no more bowls against SBC teams.
It makes a lot of sense adding another Western Bowl seeing Texas teams run this conference.
