So the information is 28 years old and the government was bound by law to release it.

Israel had Fission Weapons in the 68-69 Timeframe. Thermonuclear Weapons in mid-70's.

They had a joint test of a thermonuclear warhead with the South Africans in the mid-late 70's.

I havenr read the report but I will assume it doesn't explain the origin of the fissile material used in the first IDF Atomic Weapons.

THREE YEARS AGO. That tells you the timing of the release was deliberate. Was there anything in there that wasnt generally known? Probably not, but still this is just a slap in the face and will fuel Iran's desire to further their own program.

Classified information is exempt from FOIA requests. When the information was declassified, it became subject to FOIA. Whoever declassified it knew that.

Would Israel have the ability to mess with the U.S.? Even if they couldn't put an ICBM on the East Coast, we have enough interest abroad for one of our enemies to make quite a mess.

Its not a question of Israel 'messing with' the U.S.. its a question of them spilling secrets or something along those lines. Israel knows the US wont always have a petulant children that sympathizes with Islamic extremists as president so they won't do anything to compromise long term relations. I would lib to know what sort of dirt they have on obama though

Bibi has already turned on the USA. We don't need a trillion dollar war with Iran.

Israel is welcome to do what it has been doing for some time now. Which is frustrate REPUBLICAN and Democratic policy in the area. But we don't need to be helping them work against our interests.

The neo-cons already got us to do their bidding in Iraq. It was a friggin' disaster.

A disaster one O announced a withdrawal date and left no military presence.
