It was a great game to attend. The crowd was very into the game - ever since the LA Tech game the crowds have been very intense! Glad you all AAC folks liked the game also!

No thanks.ODU football program is still essentially a start up.Recruits in the 757 look at the school as a 3 or 4th choice.They are going to struggle for the next decade before they turn the corner,basketball is more down than up.

ODU sells out their small fb stadium every single game. They have the ability to push up to at least 35k which would be decent in the aac. Basketball crowd looked great especially for a meaninglessness NIT game. Obviously adding ODU only makes sense if the networks like them and we can pull someone like AF, Army, or BYU FB only to even out at 14 for football.

For now they can continue to grow and be ready if we have an opening down the road.

The AAC will be able to pick almost any team it wants from the C-USA, Sun Belt, or MAC if any current members move on. No reason to act quickly unless there is a candidate that adds guaranteed long-term value now.

I'd like to trade ODU for Tulane.

If we are ever in a conference with ODU again ,ECU football is in trouble and whatever dreams we had of improving our lot in life are over.

ODU has been playing and beating big boy teams since the late 70s. Not surprising.

ODU would be a great addition to the AAC.

ODU has some work to do... Like TCU did when they moved up. If ODU wins some championships in fbs, and finally builds their new stadium, I wouldn't be opposed.

That said, there are other contenders in the mix as well. If we go above 12, they'd have to show the same dedication we've seen among our membership with new facilities (new stadiums at Houston and Tulane), very strong coaching hires (on the level of the stellar new coaches at UH, SMU, and Tulsa), and committing $ to stay with the upper level of fbs.

Without that investment, its not worth it.

Possibly James Madison in that configuration. Maybe Delaware?

Why is it that every time a Conf Usa o r Sun Belt team has a nice win they are suddenly in line to join the league?
Tidewater/Norfolk area is not a market that ODU even comes close to being an important presence

I really don't understand the obsession with expansion on this board. Every thread turns into a "lets add .........(fill in the blank)".
