SBC Hot seat coaches 2015
Do we have any coaches who are on the hot seat this year? preform or be fired?

Ill go with Todd Berry (ULM)

2010 -- 5-7
2011 -- 4-8
2012 -- 8-5 (Brownings break out year)
2013 -- 6-6
2014 -- 4-8

27–34 record in the SBC and 56–93 in his HC career

Can he survive another Sub .500 year?

Ga State's coach is for sure. I think they give him the boot if he doesn't win 4 games.

I will go with Todd Berry at ULM. 4-8 this past year and 6-6 the year before. 1 really good year 3years with a QB pulling most the weight whos gone now. Can he survive another Sub .500 year?

If GaSt can't win more than 1 or 2 games, then I'd say that they will be looking for another coach.... whether or not they can convince a better coach to come aboard is a different story.

Fritz will not be on the hot seat, but if we somehow only win 6 games the meltdown from our fanbase would be epic. Many (not me) would be calling for his head and the return of the good ole flexbone.

Trent Miles seat has to be hotter than anybody else's. No way he survives without winning 3 games plus a few convincing losses.

He will need more than 2 wins. Cobb did not hire him and Turner Field looms.

This is the final year of Berry's contract. He should start getting the house ready for sale now......................

Paul Petrino at Idaho might be under some pressure this year if the Vandals don't pick things up. Its his 3rd year now, he's had enough time to get his players in.

If Texas State has a bad year, I could see Franchione being under some pressure.

Fran. Under pressure? Not from our AD. . . . .

Got to be T. Miles......I think they fire him if they lose to UNC-C at home. App State knows Charlie Cobb well, he is the epitome of awkward firings / get MY guy in there.

You can write this in stone:

Fran will be a coach at Texas State as long as he wants, regardless of the team's performance, unless he is caught with a co-ed or some HUGE scandal.

Fran will retire before he gets a hot seat.

Attendance can change things in a hurry.

Regardless of coaching talent, schemes, hardships, or even victories,
if the stadium is empty, the AD has no choice but to shake things up.

If they lose to UNC-C, at home, they need to seriously consider the future of football on their campus.

I think Coach Fran would have to do a Woody Hayes on an opposing player to get fired. Petrino inherited a mess at Idaho. He got hired in December of 2012, so he has had only a little over two years to change the program. He needs two more years. He just added four more recruits from Florida, which is amazing considering his location.

I won't hold anything from their first season against them. A lack of measurable improvement through six seasons is another story. Unfortunately, they don't have the luxury of comparing results to history and calling something a fluke. Gotta win some games...

Miles is fine, or should be, with 2-3 wins this season. Miles has a problem, with just 1 win. The whole program has a problem, or should, with no wins this season.
