Perhaps he figured he could GOOGLE it?

On a serious note, what IF C-USA should announce this week that UAB is being voted out effective June 30, 2015? What happens next for UAB and its remaining sports programs?

Where are the meetings? Specifically in Boca where are the meetings? And does anyone have an agenda for Wednesday's sessions? Please respond ASAP.

RE: C-USA Meeting updates
C-USA member institutions today agreed to adopt the P5's legislation... this covers paying players full cost of attendance, concussion procedures, player insurance, etc. The biggie is that conference members are allowed to decide how or if they pay their players cost of attendance stipends. FAU has already decided to do it starting next fall. Other schools are scrambling to figure out how to pay for it or IF they can afford it.

I'm sure Watts was sitting through this with a type of grin the filters won't let me type.

Here's what the UTSA AD had to say about it: http://www.goutsa.com/ViewArticle.dbml?D...NY.twitter

Still, its voluntary. If necessary it can be decided based on the current financial situation. Perhaps something as simple as no stipend while we rebuild the football team, advancing to football and basketball teams, and, maybe someday, all athletes...

RE: C-USA Meeting updates
MT's AD just confirmed on Twitter that Watts spoke only with C-USA presidents, not the athletic directors.

I think the presidents were in one day and the AD's the next. Maybe he was scheduled to only speak with the Presidents.

Watts probably knows that the Athletic Directors would be a hostile audience. And he has probably been instructed to do as little talking as possible.

C-USA has to remain competitive. This is good news as far as I'm concerned. I hope the other presidents talked some sense into Watts.

I think the thing about talking to the Presidents only was that it's the Presidents that will vote and decide UAB's status, not the ADs

True, but an actual leader, a "visionary leader," if you will, listens to the advice and counsel of his or her AD before making such a decision. A president making a serious effort would have spoken to both groups.

I know we have had our people talking to BB and all the presidents and ADs. The hay was in the barn before mumbles went to the meetings FWIW.

RE: C-USA Meeting updates
I wonder if Watts stood behind his "belief" in the accuracy of the Carr Report as he has done locally? I would guess he'd have to give a sense of football coming back to get the decision delayed.

If anything he would make it worse. let's remember in spite of what this lying buffoon says they (Watts, PBJ, Finis) don't want us to stay in C-USA.

OK. It's Thursday morning and no one has reported a decision on the status of UAB's membership in C-USA. Has the decision been delayed or just not reported?

When there are no reporters there, nothing gets reported.
