Boise winning was the lesser of two evils. The AAC really needs to get the Access bowl next year.

Good thread. Agree with everything so far.

Just one fan's opinion; but I think that the right team was in that bowl.

Anything can happen on the field on a given day, but while I was watching the game, I didn't "see" any of us doing as well as Boise did in that game.

If I'm not mistaken, the MWC champ (if in access bowl) gets 50 percent of any earnings from said access bowl. The rest of the conference splits the other 50%. So whatever 50% of the payout of the Fiesta Bowl is..........

Yes, yes, and yes! I've been talking about this forever. ESPN always tells things from the P5 perspective. For example, Tulane could beat LSU and they would only talk about how LSU blew it and what LSU needs to do to get back on track. They wouldn't spend a minute on how Tulane's recruiting improved or what the coaching staff did right.

It's sickening.

Thank you all for the congrats and the well thought out comments. You are absolutely correct. BSU for instance, never beat Oregon, VT, UGA, Oklahoma, Washington, etc. They simply lost to BSU because: 1) they were disinterested in playing such a lowly team, 2) the Broncos considered (fill in P5 team here) their "superbowl" and played way beyond their abilities, 3) BSU plays in an inferior conference and doesn't have to run the gauntlet that(fill im P5 team here) has to face in (fill in P5 conference here) and thus, 4) BSU would never win the same amount of games in said P5 conference, 5) BSU should join a P5 conference and not "duck" P5 teams and have such an easy path to a Big 6 (BCS) bowl (because we all would turn down a P5 conference invite and BSU or any decent G5 team can join any P5 conference they want but choose not to do so due to cowardice, 6) the P5 team had unusual misfortune, injuries, or atypical poor play and would lose 99 out of 100 times if the games were replayed. With all these advantages, of course BSU (or any decent G5 team) beats these poor P5 teams. It is interesting these things are said with a straight face.

You know the old saying....If they're bitching about you, you're probably doing something right..

MWC was really good this year....Boise, CSU, Fresno, SDSU. It's a quality league.

And once again makes me wish we had merged with them in an East/West division format. I would have loved to see teams like CSU, Boise, AF come into Cincy.

That makes sense. 50% plus 1/12 of the conference 50% plus 1/12th of other bowls plus expenses . Boise made out like a fat rat.

Agree 100%. Way to go Broncos. What it proves, once again, just like UCF beating the Big12 champ last year-

The MWC and the AAC top teams can play with anyone in a given year. Not just schools from the self-proclaimed P5 or LargestTVContracts5.

CFB is not a real playoff until everyone has a real shot to play for the title.
