No, Culucko faced evidence and witness tampering charges, but he traded testimony for his freedom. He is now living in his hometown of Mahwah NJ and is coaching youth basketball.

BTW, it was Jayson Williams of the Nets.

I remember watching EJ play in HS (TJ in Richmond) they called him Ed at the time. He schooled my HS each and every time (not that hard to do). Though I don't remember him doing much at Odu. I think he hit a buzzer beater half court shot once though to end the first half of one game.

As I recall EJ earned his keep by being a real utility player. If memory serves he even played center for a while. Not a super star, but very versatile and a helluva good guy.

EJ was a VERY solid player for ODU, especially his senior season.

He also got a start in the CAA semis that year and played just about every minute of the game and had something like 9 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists.

He also hit big shots against JMU in the CAA tourney final one season.

EJ Sherod had a huge hand in leading us to the CAA title his senior season along with Odell Hodge. If my memory is correct Ej was fouled shooting a three at the end of regulation in the championship game and hit all 3 FT's to send it to OT. In OT he hit Hodge posting up down low with a bullet pass that only Hodge could have caught. Hodge made the bucket and was fouled. That pretty much wrapped up the title. EJ was a great clutch player.

Well, let's just say the refs called a foul on a JMU player against EJ and he knocked down the shots. The foul never happened, but it was great. Almost like divine intervention for Odell to get to the NCAAS. Poor Lefty lost his job as a result of that bad call too.

EJ was a lot like Brian Henderson if I remember correctly.

EJ was an impactful player. My only two points were:

1. He carried the ball whenever he touched. No idea to this day why it wasn't called.
2. He was responsible for the JMU run that ended with the Culuko shot.

EJ was a good player and a nice representative for the school

Swann played 37 minutes in that game, EJ played 1. Unless JMU went on a 19-0 run in that minute it's not solely, or even majorly, his fault, despite his 2 TOs.

A bigger problem was Sessoms only scoring 4 points.

- New Mexico JC's Kimani Jackson (Red Shirt Freshman) plays with bounce around the rim and gets up for dunks and put-backs with ease. A great looking athlete that has some developing to do, but has the athleticism to compete at a high level.

Xavier Green, 6-6, Williamsburg Christian is a 2016 guard we offered, he has been getting some press and scouting lately. His recruitment has picked up, VCU was in to see him a couple weeks ago and K-St is looking. Good update on his recruitment.

ODU's Stith along with UVA's Bennett, and VCU's Smart, saw 2016 Javin Montgomery-DeLaurier, 6-9, PF, St. Anne's-Belfield School, Charlottesville, VA play last night.

And I can tell you that Coach Jones was at this game today

Godwin had a medium game w/11pts last night as Hampton beat Warick HS. He'ill visit UVa tonight to watch the game vs NC St. We lost a big to UVa this past week, don't want to lose a SG.

Cam Bacote turned in a good showing +20pts, as Bethel beat Woodside.
