Yep...pretty bad. One of them was unbuckling a chin strap while the ball was in the air.

I would submit though...They should not have been put in the situation to have to defend the game winning play. Our staff's gaffe occurred earlier by not just running the ball and kicking a short FG to go up by 7. I have no idea WTF they were thinking.

I love the still shot of the DB standing there taking off his chin strap while the catch is being made 5 feet away.

Good Lord. That was a bad Sunbelt finish.

Only by level of national importance. Last night's coaching decisions should be used as the standard of dumbassery.

Good game Pirates. You made us sweat there for a bit.
Back to Back AAC Champions, the UCF Knights!!

Now it's down to Boise-Fresno State. Boise has a history of blowing games late in the season to end their BCS hopes.
I would love to see an AAC team get that spot.

What a game!!!

What say you all? Best AAC finish EVER... given what was on the line in this game?

Sorry ECU. 04-cheers (But not extremely sorry)

Congratulations UCF.......great win:)

Those "Hail Mary's" can and do, sometimes succeed, despite the odds. I know how ECU feels, having been on the losing end of two of them in the last 15 years.

True, but this wasn't an insanely great catch or even a lucky bounce. ECU had two players in position to make what should have been an easy play to breakup the pass. Somehow both of them managed to completely misjudge the ball, thereby allowing the UCF wr to make a relatively easy catch.

Pitiful.

That was anything but an easy catch. He jukes one defender got behind the d and caught the ball while landing readjusting and whose vision was blocked by the defenders hands

Rubbish. The defenders might as well have stayed on the sideline for all the effect they had on the outcome of the play.

It was a great catch of a pass that should never been allowed to be thrown in the first place.
Holman and Perriman executed the play GOL and the staff sent in for the situation they were presented. It was a great play. Nothing more needs to be said.

I am sorry I disagree with you. The trajectory of that pass was like one of a punt return being contested without being able to follow the ball

Says the guy who lost to one of the worst teams in D1....Uconn

Come on guys we're both champions here 04-cheers

Let's all just enjoy it please. We're the best teams in the American. It's time to look forward to our bowl games and I know we'll both be rooting for Cinci to lose so we don't have to share anymore!

Good game pirates!

F that....get Aresco on the bat phone...Time to settle this one the field.

I couldn't agree more. What a game that would be. We need a outright championship game every year. Ties suck. It's not good for the league.

Congrats UCF...what a game

I feel bad for ECU at the same time, that's no way to lose a game.

UCF had another fine year.

It will be a pleasure to run the tally to 10-0 next year once Memphis finally stops ducking UCF.
