RE: Do you realize how hard it is to be this BAD at Memphis?
Frustration is at a high level. We can all agree that the program should be above losing to SFA at home. We can make excuses about our lack of experienced guard depth, but whose job is it to ensure that we are recruiting and developing that depth.

We have looked abysmal so far this year. Pastner has underachieved every year he has been here. Consistantly failed to reach/motivate his players, call an effective in-bounds play, run a consistant offense. It is not all the players.

You can call it a meltdown if you want, I call it reality.

This is going to be a long season, Pastner is already losing fan support. Recruiting is next.

I said it on the gamethread. There wont be any stupid midseason firing, but while I used to think he had this year and next year, I'm starting to think realistically that he may not have next year if stuff like tonight continues.

This thing is derailing fast. Time for him to earn that $2 mil.

If we can't get 3 conference wins, then that should do it. He'll be fired after the season if we can't any more than 3.

UConn will beat us 40 points up there for crying out loud. Did you see them play Texas ? Boatright with the bad ankle will have a triple-double by halftime.

The conference is terrible, we'll probably be somewhere around 500.

Memphis has more bluechip 5 and 4 star players but they get to MEMPHIS and can't play anymore...has anyone asked why they come to Memphis and get worse...it is already affecting recruiting...and it has been.

Had to get Lawson a job to get those kids and they are NOT the saviors...book it. They're good but not the saviors...

Wondering just how good last year's team could have been, with a competent staff?

That squad was absolutely loaded with talent, to the point that they were able to sweep Louisville on their own merits, despite a lack of leadership and instruction from the bench.

And add starting NBA center Tarick Black to that roster and give him three years of real development. It really was a special group.
