I won't kill a puppy over a bowl. I know our only guarantee way to get to a bowl is to win championships. We didn't do that, so the chips fall where they may.

I will however, skewer my AD over it because he is a worthless POS.

That thing with Georgia Southern petitioning? He would NEVER do that if the situation was reversed. He's kinda a douchebag.

I had actually heard from a stAte media individual that it was USA that was out...

however, that was almost a couple hours ago.. the only thing I've heard recently is that TXST is in talks with the cactus and armed forces bowls. (from a couple different sources there)

seems that might support the rumor you heard. who knows.

As much as I love GS, I mean how could you not. It looks like the NCAA stuck to their rules.

I guess it would be unfair for a team bowl eligible that went by the rules and would get knocked out of their bowl game because the NCAA changed the rules to accommodate GS.

If I was the so-called school that got booted because the NCAA changed the rules on the fly for GS, I would be furious, wouldn't you?.

As much as GS deserved a bowl game and would have been nice for the conference, rules are rules for a reason.

Congrats on the championship and enjoy the off season. Go see some good SBC basketball.

It's a shame GaSouthern didn't play well enough to warrant a bowl slot.

No, according to the rules they don't deserve it. Sorry some you feel you have to be politically correct with Southern fans but its BS. Texas State and South Alabama paid their dues and understood the rule, neither deserved it either according to the rules. They made a decision to move up, under those rules they were eligible for the conference championship, but not a bowl. End of story and debate.

I started following some of the bowls on Twitter. Go Daddy seems to really like stAte based on their retweets and favorites.

As stated by several on us on this board. The appeal was destined to end the same way the original request was denied.

It seems everyone is in agreement that Louisiana Lafayette will go to New Orleans Bowl, and ASU will go to GoDaddy. The GoDaddy didn't once look our way. Initially I was hearing USA was out completely, but I've started hearing more and more that USA could go to Montgomery for the Camellia. If that is indeed the case, I will join TXST fan efforts to bombard other bowls with tweets to help them get in a bowl. I feel we are pretty much equal and I don't want them out of a bowl when eligible for a second year in a row, just like I don't want that for USA. If USA got Camellia then it could also mean that TXST has a legit shot at a bowl in Texas.
