This is not true. A CUSA team won like 29 games and got left out last year. We need every team we play OOC to have the best season they possibly can, and we need VCU to be a top 25 team in order to have a shot at an at large bid. I know to some of you, VCU being bad is more important than ODU being good, but I for one want to go dancing, and if that means VCU is ranked #1 going into the tournament, and we have to whip their asses again in March, then bring it on.

Ah if we win the damn Conference USA Tournament we go to the Big tournament. We need to take care of our business and everything ealse will work out. This is true.

Who should we be pulling for in the VCU vs Il St game tomorrow? I am thinking Il St., since a win by them would make our loss not seem so bad.

Would a win over a good team make up for a bad loss?

Screw vcu, I hope they lose every game from here to eternity.

Yeah, we need the "quality win", but watching the complete meltdown that would happen after their third consecutive loss would just be too priceless to pass up.

Root against vcu always and if they do win, take solace in the fact that it kind of helps us out. If they lose, rejoice because any vcu loss is a reason to celebrate.

Also, cusa is embarrassingly bad at basketball.

I'm sorry, but this conference should not be our final destination.

Our program would be a much better fit in the AAC then in this crummy basketball conference. Aim high.

Razor is correct. Quality wins are way more valuable than quality losses. However, the fact that we recruit against vcu, and the high level entertainment that their fan base meltdown would provide, tells me to head fake and go the other way.

RE: Knocked VCU Down
Sorry, I disagree. We need VCU, Richmond, and LSU to be better than they have been. As we saw against Illinois State (and even Mt. Olive), we can be pretty bad when when we are having an off game. I'd like the insurance in case we have one of those off games in the CUSAT where there will be several teams plenty capable of exposing us. We only play LT and UTEP once each. We are running out of games that can help us. The rest can only hurt us. Lesser GSU and W&M are dangerous games as wins won't be seen as "good" and losses will be seen as "bad" by the elitist committee and both teams are plenty capable of lighting it up and beating us, even if we play a decent game. While I won't be actively rooting for VCU in any individual games, I do hope they are good.

GSU will be a good win, and will be viewed as one. They will be a top 100 team.

I'm in the "screw VCU" camp. I don't care if they are #300, just as long as we are #299.

I hope they lose every game they play. Then our Richmond win will look better.

Go Redbirds!

Of Course im in the screw vcu camp. We have to recruit directly against them and deal with their pr department. The more they loose the better we do in the long run. They really kicked us when we were down with our coaching situation. We are rising from the flames.

RE: Knocked VCU Down
VCU being #300 and ODU being #299 does nothing for our program. Going to the NCAA tournament and winning games is what we need to happen. A Sweet 16 run might even get us into the AAC. That won't happen unless we get into the tournament and for that to happen we need VCU to be good if we happen to slip in the CUSAT.

I would also like to add, NEVER should a pretty woman be used in a VCU analogy. Perhaps a toilet flushing gif would be more appropriate.
