Now I will say this in GS fans defense, if you tell them they can't do something and they prove you wrong get ready for it. Five years ago there was no room for GS in the Sun Belt. One of my favorite fallacies thrown around by GS fans is how no one wantef them. 9 out of 10 times that someone said they didn't want you guys it was in favor of no expansion. You and App were pretty commonly viewed as the best candidates for some time.

Exactly which one of your fans played a single down of football? If you woulda went 2-10, it wouldn't have been your fans fault, don't see why your fans get any credit for what your players accomplished. You fans didn't "do anything" but watch your boys play football.

But all the FCS and Socon titles don't count. We hadn't won anything at the FBS level. So technically we haven't won before, so we can't act like we have (maybe we can pretend). I haven't done anything, I just watch...No matter what. I'm a fan, I support the team and their on field results don't make me any more or less of a man. See I don't actually play or practice or anything, I just give my money and time because I enjoy supporting the teams.

This thread is hilarious. *cough* That being said....The Sunbelt Started football in 2001 correct? So we're talking 13 season of playing football...I'm not sure if this is a bash at the Belt or not, but it sounds like to me that you're saying that the conference has been decent off and on for...almost half of it's football life thus far? I'm glad we're not in the Socon anymore, and I do think that top to bottom, the Sunbelt is a stronger conference, but if you go back 13 years in the Socon as well, I would bet that 10 out of 13 years, the socon champs of that era would also be number 1 or 2 of the sunbelt as well. Just my opinion.

The Sun Belt from 2001-2005 and in 2014 was pretty terrible. I don'tknow about the top 4 in the SOCON, but two barely removed SOCON programs fared pretty well this year.

You look like buffoons trying that crap. Talk about childish, wow... We won, we did it by going undefeated and we get but, but, but .... Man up, accept it that GS and App are better and will have to carry this conference on our backs. Obviously there's hope for ULL, stAte, and Texas State, but yall have to bring it next year. Why in the hell GagState was picked to join is still a mystery. Don't like me bashing the Sun Belt? Never get on an ACC or SEC board, you'll really get your feelings hurt. 4 reasons we won the conference, in order of importance...

#1 A lot of things came together for us as far as coaching and personnel. Seriously, how many of our fans knew who Matt Breida was before this year?

#2 We aren't a typical move-up…we (like App) are more comparable to Marshall than WKU and UMass.

#3 We got a break with the schedule…I'm not going to apologize for it but we still did.

#4 A few scattered strokes of luck (most teams who run the table in their conference need some luck). We needed some luck to escape from San Marcos. The rest of the conference games I felt we outplayed our opponents.

Saying the conference is just crap just doesn't give our team enough credit. At the bare minimum you'd have to go back to the 90s when Marshall and App State were both in the SoCon to find a tougher conference slate.

Fritz said after the season that when he saw the talent level in the GS program first hand before the season that if they were FCS he would be disappointed if they didn't win the national title. Obviously he had no frame of reference for the Belt so that's a pretty powerful statement.

I agree with pretty much everything you said, but Abilene Christian(a year removed from DII) likely would have gone at least 3-5 against your schedule, you still don't owe anyone any apologies.
