Good luck to Troy and to Larry Blakeney! I remember when Troy started out in the Sunbelt it wasn't that much different than Georgia Southern and App State. They brought the pain in the early years, they beat Missouri, Oklahoma State, and Mississippi State, and almost beat LSU. At the time I was thinking the Sunbelt picked up a damn good school in Troy.

Except we aren't tied for 2nd. It will either be tied for 1st or 2nd by ourself. Everybody thinks GS has an automatic win tonight, just show up like we did against Appalachian St. Don't count ULM out. First of all ULM will probably be the best SBC team they will face this season
.
it ain't over til it's over. ULM might play like they did against Texas a&m

I wonder if ULM would seriously consider throwing this game or just not playing well because they know it gives the cajuns a share

They might, but doubt it. Thsir seniors would prefer winning their last game than throwing one. Dont you think? Or maybe you dont have any experience playing collage ball?

According to a published story, one of their players told a Cajun player after we defeated them in Monroe not to worry, that they'd take care of Ga Southern.
We're about to find out.

If they did, their coach would be fired. Since he is the best they will ever get, they needs to make sure he gives 110% effort

I just dunno how a player would rationalize it in their head. They have no bowl game to play for, they go out there leave it all on the field.... so their instate rival can share a championship?

That'd be a pretty crappy attitude for any athlete to take into a game.
How about they leave it all on the field because they want to win, regardless of the opponent and how it might affect a team they've already played?

player psyche is part of any game and every athlete, this is a fact. I am sure players play harder in "must win" games than other ones. This game is not must-win, their season is over, and beyond all that they would be doing their rivals a favor. Tough spot to be in.
Think 2013 cajuns vs. USA. Post-season and championship already locked up for ULL, USA playing for eligibility, ULL get destroyed.
